Im a single mother of one,

i was working up until my DD (3) was born, rather than take a part time job that i knew i would always be stuck in i decided to get to college and study asubject that will lead me to a very hard working and well paid job so that i can fully support my DD in the future.

I hate recieving benefits and cannot wait untill i have finished my degree

Once i start at work i will be paying enough taxes in the future to more than cover the benefits ive recieved over the few yrs.

So why does everyone assume your a complete waste of space?? not all of us take advantage of the system!!!!

The price goes up, the later it gets.

I need at least one sample of original work.

I work on recommendations/word-of-mouth only.

My work is for research purposes only, and all clients must sign a waiver to such effect.

I have experience to PhD level in both the UK and the US, and references to that effect.

I work 24/7. I am always here for the benefit of my clients.

Make no mistake, in the way of the capitalist world, I am Webster's defiinition of a loser.

But I will both research and write your daughter's dissertation and she will pass her viva with flying colours, I'll charge her extra for the coaching, but she'll walk away and so will I, all the richer, .

expatinscotland · 21/02/2008 00:33

Yes, I've been on the wine, and it's half-term and I'm on break.

expatinscotland · 21/02/2008 00:33

I do believe in responsibility. Don't assume anything I don't. I am now a single mother, through no fault of my own - things don't always go according to plan. I receive maintenance from my dd's father but I also work and, when I haven't worked, I have lived on my own capital saved from when I had a high-earning (high tax-paying) job in the past. I pay for my own child and I expect that others should act responsibly too. My objection is to you making knee-jerk assumptions and generalisations. From my own experience, I know that we can't all have impeccable good judgement and good luck all the time and we shouldn't judge those people who need help as a result of the consequences.

I agree about national service. That's my right-wing fascist side coming out!!

I see nothing wrong with young men and women doing national service in the forces or in the community, according to their ability and what they are best suited to. I don't know a lot about how they do it on the continent or in other countries but it seems to work ok. I do think that people who are free of caring commitments and are unemployed should be given something to do. Things have gone too much the other way.

Oh, no awe involved, believe you me! Most if it is to write about the same fucking undergrad topic. The same fucking lecturer. Again and a fucking again. And I used to work with the lecturers, for 4 years.

I know how clever they are. I know what they are looking for.

I know how bored they are.

Otherwise, I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't need the sample.

Lecturers aren't fools.

There is no bigger Consertive, barring Xenia, than my father. In fact, as a joke, when I phone him, I tell him, 'Pappa, if you don't ring me back in 3 hours, I'm going to vote for Hillary Clinton!'

We have an agreement, which he tried to transgress: no politics, no religion.

For every single mother there is a man who walked away. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Papa.

I am the voice of your conscience.

expatinscotland · 21/02/2008 00:46

I'd never have been so well-educated without his book ass.

Thanks, Papa!

You were right! The early bird really does get the worm, it's just that my definition of earlybird is midnight.

Ach, I always think, winnie, 'Haven't people got bigger things to worry about?' If not, well, get something else to do!

It's like when I worked for an incredibly clever and wonderful judge in the criminal court, you RIP, 'Nago' (PM me if you want his surname) 'If you have that much time to worry about what the secretary is doing, I need to give you more work.'

"Xenia - the only reason you are paid as much as you are is because your salary takes into account the higher rate of tax. "
Not really as I work for myself but certainly if tax rates get too high some people (those with the ability to be mobile) move abroad.

The idea that younger/ fit people do some work for benefits would be a good thing and is common in some places abroad. Even if it were just you bring your baby for 3 hours a day to the work room on the council housing estate where it's minded by some of the other mothers (earning their benefit through that) and you're given some piece work for local business or litter pick on the estate people would then appreciate their benefits more.
