To be worried about the nuclear situation ☢️

I am absolutely terrified of what is going on in the world. We are currently risking global annihilation and extinction. Ukraine is at war with Russia and the UK is supplying arms. Effectively we are at war with Russia. UK bombs are killing Russian troops. I get why. But what a ridiculously tight rope to walk.

Whats more is I am really very worried about the rise of the ‘hacker’ - what is to stop
hackers and hacktivists from hacking into our nuclear weapons and launching or detonating where they stand?

The further into this year we get the further I start to realise we are to the brink of annihilation and it terrifies me and anyone I speak to about it.

I am talking about Two Types of hacking

External hacking from countries who want to detonate nuclear weapons on territories they already exist in.

internal hacking or terrorism. At home groups targeting UK nukes - for example the many extremist groups in the uk for example those who glue themselves to roads as an example. If they had hacking capability and wanted to send a really clear message this is a step they could take. Or even just child genius types who hack as a hobby not understanding what they are doing.

Meh - we'll be fine, and if we're not, we'll be dead so...we'll be fine. No point in worrying about things we can't control. I also don't think things are as bad as they seem.

What I’m saying is we probably can control some of this stuff. Internal hacking definitely within our control if we take reasonable steps now.

That’s the worry. We all think the government is some kind of massive organised project protecting us from the great evil. But let me just say

Nearly 500k people homeless on the street in the uk

people dying daily from drugs and alcohol problems

Surely if our government was strong and all knowing this wouldn’t be the case?

I don’t voice my fear out loud to anyone but ever since the war in Ukraine started I’ve been very on edge about it. It does feel like anything could happen 😔

You don't need to hack the nuclear missiles, you just dial the request number, select the country by going through the automatic menu thing and it does it all for you.

The war is going exactly planned. Big defence making $$$. No need to set off nukes.

Homeless people and those addicted to drugs have got absolutely nothing to do with the UK response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I am starting to find you a bit suspicious.

OP I’m far more concerned about the right to peacefully protest have been taken away in the UK.

The erosion of democracy and human rights is a really slippery slope.

I will start off with a little island somewhere, just to get in the swing of it.

At least will take our mind off the COL crisis.

Most (NOT ALL) homeless are addicts/alcoholics and you can’t help an addicts/alcoholic until they want it.

I’m in recovery and the help isn’t with the NHS or with the government but there is help out there for any that want it at a 12 step fellowship.
