So says Rylan Clark

He claims some people in the industry aren’t nice and polite, like they portray themselves to be and behind the scenes they treat people badly…that people are starting to see through it now and all will be revealed…

If PS is such a bellend (which I can quite believe) then how comes HW was such good pals with him?

My friend's brother works in TV and he said PS is just horrible. Same with Frank Skinner which I was surprised about.

Probably same reason Paul O'Grady was best friends with Cilla Black. Still can't get my head around that either...

Interesting that's there isn't a public outpouring of love from others for PS, except for Rochelle Hulmes. Speaks volumes.

Same management. Say no more.

I assume she’s being lined up as Holly’s replacement for DOI?

she also doesn’t have the same power as Holly and the others. If PS turns against her she might be worried about losing her career

I think the MM story will break soon, the Mail is dropping massive hints.
IMO the real scandal is that PS groomed this young man in full view and ITV / TM did nothing.
Full respect to Eamonn, Ruth and Rylan for refusing to be complicit.

I think the superinjunction is being lifted in the summer.. is there a time limit to these things if so what’s the point in paying it up til now?! Kind of seems like some of the papers have basically said it anyway though, they’ve done everything but mention MM by name. I would so love to hear that guy’s side of the story. It seems like Eamonn and Ruth weren’t aware of what was going on when they were on the PS coming out episode but Ruth has been mentioned a few times saying that she helped MM move to loose women after it all happened so I’m guessing that was shortly after he came out.

@Wombastic re his first wife - I thought that also but don't know when that ended and the RL one began. Did they overlap ? For all i know it could have been amicable.

I think there was an overlap. I can’t remember how I know this but he had his wife in Ireland for weekend visits while he was seeing Ruth in the week when he was here for work.

Didn't James Corden (my personal most hated) boast that he didn't know a single crew member's name?

Apparently him and Schofe are complete arseholes to work with.

So YMU is the management agency for so many famous people especially those at ITV.

Both of Phillips daughters are employed there. One as a director. I read the other day the he apparently has shares in the company or owns part of it (memory fail)

In 2020 Holly was embroiled in a legal battle with this company as she wanted to extract herself from her contract but YMU were arguing that they should get a percentage of her work going forward (well the contracts they negotiated until they expired)

It was eventually settled out of court.

It is interesting that the runner went to loose women. Also noted that Ruth, Eamon & Rylan left at a similar time.

What is not clear is why ITV were happy to keep on a significant employee who allegedly dated a runner in the show whom he had known since said runner was a minor. And why HW also stood by whilst all this happened.

Im interested to know if there is a link between the actions of ITV and the fact a lot of their people work for YMU.

In a sense you would think that Schofield had some power over ITV. But what could that be?

Id also like to see Rylan and Ruth have a shot at the show.

It is clear the judge gave permission for Schofields sexuality to be reported but not his personal life. Otherwise I don’t think he would have made that statement on the TV that day.

Quitelikeit · 23/05/2023 13:04

If the media manage to overturn the injunction then I do think HW could be toast.

@PollyPeptide it's ok it was me being a loon and hypersensitive after having a bad day in the office yesterday and somehow I didn't see your emoji's at the end 🙄 I just re read my posts and quite frankly I sound ridiculous 🤣 thank you anyway for being so nice about it and hope I didn't offend you... I'm still happy to be your screwed up little friend though! 😜 I'm having wine tonight from pure relief I had a better day today 🥂

ALongHardWinter · 23/05/2023 17:31

Another one who instantly thought Philip Schofield.

SequinsandStilettos · 23/05/2023 19:28

Playing devil's advocate, Rochelle is aware of what allegations do to someone (Oritse Williams, her husband's friend/band member was found not guilty of rape charges) so perhaps she sees the mentee relationship differently (e.g. consensual sex-positive young gay empowerment as opposed to victimhood).

You may not see it as being groomed until you are older. Plus, May-September romances are commonplace in gay community. Unless the mentee does speak out eventually, we don't know who pursued who. All we know is that PS followed him back when requested and when he was 18, invited him to look at behind-the-scenes of This Morning. This was nine years ago (which makes him roughly 27 now and 24 when the story was about to break).

If they had something going, I do find the age difference extremely problematic but it isn't unique. The idea of striking up a relationship with someone who, at a younger age, was part of an organisation you were patron of is ill-advised/naive to say the least.

Workplace romances aren't unique either but mixing business with pleasure always unwise for if it goes tits up. Mentoring someone desperate to break into telly/developing feelings/having that person pretty much as your PA then it all going to pieces...shows an alarming lack of judgement/poor decision making.

At best, you'll be accused of impropriety/creating a toxic workplace/nepotism.
At worst, you'll be painted as a nonce.

SequinsandStilettos · 23/05/2023 19:31

Whatever the circumstances, it shows poor boundaries and abuse of power if that person was then let go.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. Thars really kind of you and I appreciate it. Glad my wine has come in handy. 😉

I'm glad we've made friends. I don't mind falling out with someone over world peace but not over This Morning! 😄 I'm glad you enjoy it, though.
You certainly didn't offend me, I was just concerned that I'd upset you because that really wasn't my intention! It's so difficult to get tone right in a post and from a post, and then add in posting late at night...it's a recipe for disaster. 🙈

Anyway, how lovely we've not gone the scorched earth way of Pholly (see what I did there!) and we can still say nice things about each other. Continue having good days at work and make sure you get well sloshed in the evening. After all, its really the best way to watch TM. (Oops, too soon? Too close to the knuckle? 😉)
See around on the boards, my kind-hearted little friend. x 💑

alargeoneforme · 24/05/2023 00:35

Pholly 😂

He seems to like his friends young eh !

LadyEloise1 · 26/05/2023 18:51

It's in the DM now.

Redshoeblueshoe · 26/05/2023 18:54

Well it's all over for Scof now. He's admitted the relationship with MM. He's manager has dropped him, and he's been dropped from the awards show he was going to present

Coffeelotsofcoffee · 26/05/2023 19:22

They're all coked up your their eyeballs tbh

newnamethanks · 30/05/2023 08:59

Returning to other zlebs, I read an interview with (already not my favourite person, based on nothing but his overbearing TV persona) Alan Carr in the Guardian on Saturday. It's not often that you read a zleb interview that makes clear the interviewer shares your own opinion but so it was. Mr Carr sounds deeply unpleasant. Can't link from mobile, sorry.

SequinsandStilettos · 30/05/2023 09:13

“I don’t know what people do in their private life and I don’t want to throw him under the bus.”
But when he said Collins was “a lovely guy”, he got into trouble. And then he got into trouble because – disparaging voice – “People say, ‘Oh you’re not friends any more.’
‘I used to say awful things’: Alan Carr on divorce, dating and the skit that haunts him | Alan Carr | The Guardian
I agree the tone is off in this interview. Would be interesting given he also works for ITV, knows Holly and Rylan and has been the co-worker of a cancelled sleb, what Alan's view on all this is. But above, when drawn on JLC, I think he shows the double-edged nature of it all. You're best saying nowt as you cannot win.
If you're loyal then how could you defend the person.
If you cut them out, you're disloyal.
Catch 22.

@SequinsandStilettos it was the coriander that did it for me. What an utter tosser. What a way to treat your staff. He'd be having some more dental work if I'd been on the receiving end of that.

newnamethanks · 30/05/2023 09:36

Sorry, thanks for link.

SequinsandStilettos · 30/05/2023 09:53

It did all come across as him being "on" all the time, performing to a posse in front of the interviewer, aye. Having dealt with anaphylaxis, I found the allergy comment and stunt to be ill-advised, to say the least.
