I’ve had to put it on to see what’s happening! Yes she’s only just tolerating him. As pp said she’s gritting her teeth, it was making me cringe, I’ve turned it off.

There’s a whole world out there and yet you choose to waste your mornings watching that junk. Honestly

TV is imo a weird combination of arousing and depressing- the brights lights and hyper voices but you're not actually doing anything. There's always something better and more rewarding to do.

@Lamelie sometimes people need screen time.,... can you not say the same for this thread on MN? It's a real waste of time but enjoyable.

The way Mumsnet is ‘better’ is that it’s interactive. There’s something incredibly passive and lowering about daytime tv.

I never liked them either and don't watch as find him nasty and Kim let him have it when he thought he was clever having a go at her and fair play to her she said 'you wouldn't give up your wages would you when he was talking down to her about hers'. He must have something on someone up high but wish people would speak out who know things as things could have been different if people had spoke out about jimmy saville. Agree a bit of nonsense tv good for the soul at times to just chill and not worry but could not look at their faces to chill.

I entirely agree and love films and watch a lot of tv. Just not in the daytime- successful and busy people have stuff to do in the light.

She will have read the rumours about him and the runner…..not surprised she’s wanting to distance herself.

I’d be gritting my teeth as well sharing space with him after the court case. He shouldn’t have been allowed back. He should be facing charges. Unlike the super injunction he cannot cover up that he never reported

@Lamelie What? Not necessarily at all, I tutor in the evenings and also go to yoga, sometimes the beach for sunset then out etc etc. Some daytimes I’m at home, that’s a time when I often relax by reading books or watching tv…I’d say I’m a busy and successful person too 😂

True. And my gut feeling is that she maybe didn’t care if she didn’t think it was going to get out. Or maybe he denied it and she believed him? But if the former was true and she’s now only distancing herself due to being worried about the shit hitting the fan it says a lot about her. But I accept that might not be right…….but like you say it’s likely that she knew. There’s been rumours for years.

Oh I envy you! It’s better in the summer but I hate having to be in because it’s cold/ dark/ nothing to do. When I lived in Australia I don’t have a tv because it wasn’t cold/ dark/ nothing to do.
There are exceptions of course but I do think in general less daytime tv= more happiness. Massive correlation rather than causation of course.
