Vernon Kay or Gary Davies?

Radio 2 listeners - are you counting down the days til Vernon get his 9.30 show or do you actually enjoy listening to Gary Davies and his drivel ?

I'll start. I'm team Vernon and I might actually go back to R2 when he starts.

Team Gary but I had a very very rude dream about him a couple of months ago and now can't listen to him without blushing! I wish Ken would come back...

Team Vernon. Gary Davies makes me cringe.

I'm looking forward to Vernon. Gary has grown on me a bit but I'm looking forward to someone new. I really like Zoe, Sara and Scott. Sara is my favourite though I think, she's very good with the people who call in

I’m one of the R2 exiles … now listen to Dave Berry (Absolute Radio) at Breakfast, Ken Bruce (GHR) , bit of R4 in the afternoon, then Bush & Richie (Absolute) at Drivetime.

The adverts aren’t as irritating as I thought they might be, and I could go premium if I wanted.

I think the next set of listening figures will show how successful the R2 bosses have been, the intention was to get rid of one demographic, but have they successfully brought in another … be interesting to see.

Sara is good with the ones who phone into her show.
Very breezy and relaxed and puts them at ease

Just bumping this up because I have to say ... I love Vernon! Am so happy to have a daytime show on R2 that I can actually stand to have on. He's great with the callers and I think genuinely funny and the show zips along in a lovely comfortable R2 kind of way - but at the same time Vern is refreshing and a great change to listen to after the extraordinarily bland Gary Davis (who I'm sure is a perfectly nice person, but SO dull).

And, no, I'm not Vernon's Mum!

I followed Ken to GHR but felt I was missing out on new music and although the adverts didn't bother me at first they started to grate .So I gave Vernon a try and must admit I'm enjoying the show.He's made me laugh out loud several times and I prefer him to Gary
I think the more he settles into the show the better it will be.I do sometimes flip back to listen to Pop master but not as often.

I'm enjoying listening to the new line up on R2, Vernon and Scott. The only one I'm not keen on is Zoe :/

I’ve noticed that Scott’s playlist seems to evolved over time. There didn’t seem much eighties or older stuff initially, but this has changed. It’s much more varied than when he first started out (and much better).

I've really warmed to Vernon. I was Team Ken; the smooth voice, gentle scottish accent and dry humour. Crap music with Ken though. I listened for the bits in between the music. I'm liking Vernon, now that he's settled in and the music is OK. Thank heavens.
