Harry forced to watch his dads affair partner in the place his mum should have been

I feel so sorry for him. It would eat me up if I had to watch Camilla smiling and waving in the spotlight. She tormented his mother and wife. She (and his dad of course) spoiled his childhood.

What a load of bollocks

mast0650 · 06/05/2023 11:53

No, Diana shouldn't have been there. She should never have married Charles in the first place.

And it was all a very long time ago now...

loislovesstewie · 06/05/2023 11:53

Sorry but you really need to get over this. Diana and Charles were as bad as one another. Diana also had affairs with married men. I really don't understand this deification of her. She was actually a great manipulator, she knew how to do the doe eyes and look sweet. Why can't you accept that some marriages are complete failures and are doomed from the start? And this was one of many.

In what way am I coarse? The tampon comment from Charles is famous. It was from a leaked phone call, so you can let go of your pearls.

I know what it's from, no need to tampon-splain me. I'm actually old enough to remember it, unlike you, who sounds like a ten year old, trying to claim that Diana and Charles would still be enjoying wedded bliss if it wasn't for evil old Camilla. Grin

CrunchyCarrot · 06/05/2023 11:54

He's not being forced to watch OP.

Sadly I too.am old enough to remember,it and Sqidgy,gate.😂

QueenMegan · 06/05/2023 11:58

Camilla is also a great manipulator no one forced her to sleep with a married man whilst married to another. She also hired a brilliant spin doctor to present their love story and her jolly wonderful persona.
Don't be so naive. It's a very calculated family. You are just their serfs.

Endlesssummer2022 · 06/05/2023 10:55

They were definitely not divorced when Diana said there were three of them in the marriage. It would have been very traumatic for the kids and so public too. It’s not something you could easily forgive.

Because she was perfect, ahem, Barry Mannakee, cough, James Gilbey, splutter, James Hewitt.

PrettyMaybug · 06/05/2023 12:00

@Endlesssummer2022

Oh FFS, it's been over a quarter of a bloody century since Charles and Diana were divorced. Even if she WERE still alive, she wouldn't be with him at the Coronation. Daft thread. 🙄

Also very telling that you don't mention William, and only mention HARRY. Hmm He would have no right to hold the moral high ground. He buggared off to another country with his missus and turned his back on the Monarchy - AND on his country. His missus couldn't even be arsed to show her face today. Shameful. Angry

No I don’t expect eternal victimhood and I’m sure he’s mainly moved on. But it must be very difficult on a day like this to not think of what happened, what may have been and feel sad. Most people don’t have to watch their dads affair partner being paraded on international tv.

Can't ever fully move on though can he, what with people like you continuing to drag it up @Endlesssummer2022 ?

'She also hired a brilliant spin doctor to present their love story and her jolly wonderful persona.'

Same as your namesake then....

QueenMegan · 06/05/2023 11:50

Ofcourse you're right.

I'm glad to have no part of it. Let the racist inbreds have their over the top ceremony for an unelected king. He never loved his mum and made her life hell

The Queen was also unelected ,as I said I would happily do away with the lot of them but that's the way the monarchy works
the next in line ,is crowned .

Well most people don't have to watch their parents being paraded on international TV at all.

However, as to the "affair partner" bit, divorce and remarriage and blended families are pretty common now, and it would be normal for a man pushing 40 with his own kids to rub along OK with his stepmother. I get that it's not ideal, but a lot of children deal with their parents having affairs and divorcing and re-marrying. It's not like this is cruel and unusual punishment just for Harry.

YouWonJayne · 06/05/2023 12:02

Oh FFS get over it.

It was 30 years ago.

Mental that people who had nothing to do with it are upset when the people actually involved seem happy and content.

PrettyMaybug · 06/05/2023 12:03

As has been said, people REALLY NEED to move past the Camilla/Charles/Diana love triangle .... It's been DECADES now, and there were no winners in that scenario, nor were there any baddies. It was a sad tale.

Hayliebells · 06/05/2023 12:04

I can think of a whole bunch of people whose significant life events I'd want to celebrate before Charles'. In fact I see no reason to celebrate any events of Charles', what has he ever done that is good? The fact that as a country we're still expected to show deference to a man for no reason other than his ancestry, is ridiculous.

I completely agree. Disgusting and her being crowned a queen. God help us all more like

DRS1970 · 06/05/2023 12:05

Didn't look like he was being forced when he strolled into the ceremony today...

YouWonJayne · 06/05/2023 12:07

Can we also remember St Diana the Wronged was hardly innocent and had her fair share of married men throughout the marriage.

I suppose it begs the questions ‘how pretty do you have to be to forget the affairs’

It’s sad until you see a happily married couple. I honestly think some people expect them to self flaggelate about it until their dying day

They weren’t divorced, but they both had affairs.

It was a shot marriage and it’s so odd people who don’t k ow them are upset about it 30 years later.

I just wish people would admit they have a hard time with the fact Camilla isn’t as pretty as Diana was and that’s the big issue here

Because she was perfect, ahem, Barry Mannakee, cough, James Gilbey, splutter, James Hewitt.

🤮🤮 Anyone Diana was linked with came a long time after she was married. Difference being Camilla was there before, during and after. She never went away. Something constantly overlooked and ignored to suit the narrative that both were as bad as each other.

Puts a completely different spin on how the marriage evolved. Rewriting history with a fantasy spin.

I think it's weird that you care so much.

I don’t. I’m sat in the hairdressers watching the coronation, saw Harry walk in and wondered what it would be like to be in the unique position of watching your dads affair partner paraded on international tv.

I thought it must drag up difficult memories. I’m hardly sat at home, curtains closed, crying whilst dressed in flags, Diana memorabilia all around me and a copy of the the Express.

It’s just a bit of chat. The whole coronation is a bit ridiculous so I can’t see why some vintage royal chit chat can ruin it in anyway. Some of my detractors on here are acting way more triggered than me.
