I am absolutely baffled at the coverage this is getting. It's bizarre.

Admittedly, I cannot stand the unfunny prick, but I am utterly baffled.

Primetime BBC news, clips being played on the radio, mentioned in every hourly new bulletin, masses of coverage on the internet.

I love Gavin and Stacey and don’t quite get why everyone hates him so much.

He makes my toes curl. He's an unfunny, sycophantic luvvie, and you just sense that he'd be really horrible in real life (confirmed by many people- celebrities and normal people alike).

I remember during the World Cup there was a Tweet or something before the England v USA game which said the loser gets to keep James Corden. 😁 Can’t stand him either, especially now I know how obnoxious he is.

I loved it except for Alison Steadman as I think she is incredibly annoying. She played to her strengths in Gavin and Stacey and reached really high levels of annoying.

Probably why they are such ‘pals’ as they both ignore anyone who isn’t a celebrity or powerful.

But it's the stuff I've read about his, and his producer mate Ben Winston's, alleged treatment of staff and writers on his talk show that really make him out to be an utter wanker. There's a Reddit AMA thread from 4 years ago where he, unadvisedly with hindsight, went on and posted "I am James Corden, alongside Ben Winston and five of our team members who help us make Carpool Karaoke for The Late Late Show. Ask me anything. Ask us anything!"

Suffice to say, it didn't go well.

I think he’s ‘glory’ is over now and he’s on the downward slide. He seems to have upset enough people with his alleged arrogance that he’s set the wheels in motion for his downfall.
