Anyone have a bunny rabbit like this? Desperate mum.

My son has one toy who goes everywhere with him. He often says he couldn't bear to be without him and can't sleep without him. Well, some children threw it in a river when he very briefly left it at the park yesterday. The devastation is awful. Does anyone have a bunny like this they're willing to part with? All costs covered. My son washed him recently and found his nose is actually pink.

Thank you.

Yes! But sadly we only have one and it's too loved to be parted with...
I hope someone else can help!

GooodGolly · 25/04/2023 13:52

Thats not a jellycat, its very similar to a jellycat but thats actually from M&S. My son has the exact same bunny (he wont part with it unfortunately) xx

LoobyLobbyLou · 25/04/2023 13:57

Hope you manage to find one! Did the kids admit to throwing it in the river? That’s just awful

CovetedAsFuck · 25/04/2023 13:57

The ‘small’ Jellycat bunnies are properly tiny; I agree OP’s lost one is a medium. We have a lot of these.

For the avoidance of confusion — the White Company bunnies someone linked to are actually Jellycats as well (hence ‘bashful’). But they don’t look like the right colour for you anyway, op.

If you do need a spare put the new one on a jot wash several times it worked for us. But then we had three of them two hidden away but swaped every week.

JoWawa · 25/04/2023 15:02

We still have something similar, over 40 years later. Known as floppy bunny in the family. Much loved.

OP, this bunny looks exactly your little guys.

Can I ask if he is yours or if you saw him for sale?

Is this the same?

I don't think so but thank you.

Update: I have bought the bunny from eBay that was shown here by MeropeRiddle - I did an image search and found him on eBay.

I can't thank you all enough for the suggestions, advice and overwhelmingly kind offers. You are all lovely people and I'm so grateful.

Too slow lol. So glad you've found a new Hoppy 😀

Maybe get a back-up if you see one OP!

Can't help but good luck. We have an identical one (it's Jellycat, I'm sure) called Baby Bunny. Once we went away and left him at home - lesson learnt, never again!

HistoryFanatic · 25/04/2023 17:36

This reminds me to buy a spare bunny as my 1 year old is getting attached to one and carries it everywhere!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 25/04/2023 17:41

The matted Jellycat fur is the sign of a well loved Jellycat.

There’s always someone on mumsnet looking for one of these jellycat bunnies isn’t there? There was an extremely long thread a few years ago and every time I see one in the shops I’m reminded of that post and wonder if the poster ever found the one they were looking for.

LegalWeasel · 25/04/2023 22:50

Very glad you have found a replacement - my DC has one of these bunnies as their special toy as well and it is very well-loved after many years of cuddles!

Vetoncall · 25/04/2023 22:58

Saw you got one on eBay, but in case it's worth having a look, Memento in Portrush and Moores and the Hallmark shop in Coleraine all sell Jellycat toys!

LauderSyme · 25/04/2023 23:03

Just wanted to say what a lovely photo of your boy, he is utterly gorgeous!
