My son has one toy who goes everywhere with him. He often says he couldn't bear to be without him and can't sleep without him. Well, some children threw it in a river when he very briefly left it at the park yesterday. The devastation is awful. Does anyone have a bunny like this they're willing to part with? All costs covered. My son washed him recently and found his nose is actually pink.

Thank you.

Could it be this one OP? My Son has this little chap and looks v similar

Sorry to double post. They also do a beige. Ours was purchased in the Chester store recently

Desperatelyseekingbunny · 25/04/2023 12:11

I'm not sure if he's grey or beige because he's so old. I can't tell if he's medium or small either. Here's a picture of him with other bunnies for reference - he's at the front.

The fur isn't right for a jelly cat but perhaps that's because he's old?

Thank you for all the suggestions. I'm looking through them. We live in a remote part of the UK so we can't access the big stores in person although we can certainly buy online.

Just be aware that a new one might not have the texture he will recognise.

You could measure the other jellycat rabbits you have there and then cross check with new ones to find out the size. The small ones are much smaller than the medium.

Are you sure it’s not a white company one?

He's about 4.5 years old

This is the fur of our much loved jellycat. Looks the same as your one to me.

Green one is very much loved like your DS’s and the ‘small’ one is the one in the middle. The tiny one was from John Lewis if it helps

SamGully · 25/04/2023 12:33

awww bless him, hopefully you get it sorted x

viques · 25/04/2023 12:34

Don’t forget that the “new” bunny will have been having a lot of adventures, I expect he fell in a puddle, got muddy, hid under a spiky hedge and clambered over a a few trees and bushes to get himself home again, so that it why he doesn’t look , feel and smell quite the same. Maybe you could both draw some pictures of him on his journey while he has a quick wash……….

Gloopyhoop · 25/04/2023 12:34

Oh my little girl has a pinky jellycat bunny! When they get so well loved their fur goes verrryy matted and looks kind of 'thread-y'

MrsCarson · 25/04/2023 12:45

Oh poor kid it's devastating to lose your lovey. I'm sure one of the many examples on here will be the one. If it's too big of fluffy soft, he could have been off to the spa, had his fur redone and eaten too many cream teas.

Dd lost hers for two days, no sleep had by all. He'd ended up in the Chicken pen water and was green, after lots of washes stayed green she now is convinced he was always green even though it was funshine bear who is yellow.

That's not us - we're near Ballycastle in Northern Ireland. But I feel for the family going through similar and hope they're reunited. Thank you ever so much for the link.

Thank you. The body looks a really close match but the eyes look much bigger. I'm not sure how I would distress the fur.

That looks very similar. It must be how the fur goes.

This book is wonderful for explaining why beloved toys sometimes come back looking, feeling or smelling a little bit different.
