No emergency alarm

I actually wanted to hear what it sounded like… as I'd quite like to be informed if a mad dog is roaming my neighborhood, or a hurricane is on the way.

I have a PAYG phone... is that why I didn't get it? I am on EE (formerly Orange).

Anyone else?

I got a vague buzzing sound for about two seconds, followed by the message on the screen. If I hadn't been just a couple of feet from my phone I wouldn't have heard it. O2 Samsung.

I got it but I was expecting it to be louder HmmI hardly noticed it.

I wonder if it's a network thing? From what I understand all Three customers didn't get it, Three are the only ones who don't use the 2G cells so wonder if that's anything to do with it? I'm not techi enough to know, just that's the only obvious difference between Three and the other networks. There are only 4 networks in the uk, Three (H3G), O2 Telefonica, EE and Vodafone. Every other network (Tesco, giff gaff etc) piggy back on one of the 4 main networks. Of these 4 Three don't use 2G.

Both me and DP’s phones were really quiet and we wouldn’t have noticed it if we were not listening out for it

However a friend of mine has her phone linked to sonas speakers and said the alarm came out of her phone, her Apple Watch and her speakers so said it was ridiculously loud

Oh and I am on Three and did get it but about 20 minutes after DP who got it on time so in a real emergency not ideal lol!

Mine worked. Can't say that I'd necessarily notice it in an emergency though! Didn't seem all that impressive.

This. I'd have missed it had I not had my phone in my hand.

I wasn't sure if I got it on my phone or not as I was playing tennis at 3pm however after reading previous comments I probably didn't as my phone uses the 3 network.

I have a 4G enabled samsung 6.

I didn't get it. Neither did dh. he did some digging and apparently our phones are too old!

Why are you bothered? Most people I know think it's nonsense and so deliberately turned off their phones. If the system doesn't work, that's good, because it will hopefully mean that the Government ditches the whole idea.

4G enabled Samsung Galaxy A51, on iD Mobile which uses the Three network. I got the message at 14:59.

Of the three mobiles in our house one got it at 14.59pm, one at 15.17pm and the other didn't receive it at all, all on EE.

I didn't get it. Since found out only 4g or 5g will receive it and mine is 3g. Never saw that written anywhere in all the media posts about the upcoming alert.

So I guess all the poor people who can't afford newer phones aren't worth saving then 🙄

I'm with 3 (Samsung, 5g, all that lovely stuff) and got zip. If you go on 3's Twitter, theres hundreds of people saying they never got it, and a poll showing 95% of nearly 5000 people didn't get it at all.
