To be a bit excited about the 3pm alarm?

I'm interested to hear what it sounds like. For it to be going off all over the country at once, in all households and shops is exciting.

It's something completely new and feels kinda like something from Black mirror.

Maybe I'm just weird 😂

Awww I was looking forward to that and got nothing. Even stuck my head out the window to try and catch any others - I thought it’d be quite cool.

looks like those of us who didn’t get it need to start thinking about how we want to set up our own civilisation (alternative conspiracy that people in the blast zone didn’t get an alert…..)

Well, ours all came through at different times.

Dh's came through a minute early.
Dd says hers came through a bit after 2:59 but before it turned to 3.
Mine came through at 3:01

My phone volume was on half; dh's on full but siren was same volume for both. - I think that's what it said would happen.
Only went off for a short time, def less than 10 seconds.
Was more 'siren' like than the one I had in the US iirr.

Sat with MIL who's with Levara, me and DH are with 3. Mil's went off, ours didn't, neither did DD's, apparently also with 3....

We got one at 14:59, one at 15:01 another at 15:04 and still waiting on the final phone in our house (which is on the 3 Network).

I've not had it. My phone is british but I'm currently abroad.

I read that it depends on the 'sending phone mast' rather than the 'receiving phone'. You were out of range of the 'sending'.

30 seconds early here. A non event, a siren then the voice, very easy to deal with

I would have preferred someone like David Attenborough to the robot American though 😂

My work phone went off (O2) but nothing in my personal phone (3)?!!

Mine is on Three, too and I didn't get it.

I'm surprised people say they jumped or were startled it wasn't very loud at all. The ads that sometimes used to play randomly on MN pages were much louder and more likely to make you jump.

yes let’s get everyone in the spriit of a post traumatic war!! Woo! 😐no . Darling some people actually have lives and busy schedules too busy to focus on a loud alarm set at a random time of day. So yes , you wouldn’t rly blame someone if they wandered what such loud noise was , yes it may give them a small fright . Is no one allowed to have humane behaviors anymore . No?

I have alerts turned on and nothing yet :( wasn't worried about them testing it but am worried to now know that if there was a real emergency alert I might not get it.

We both have the same make and model of phone and on the same network. Kind of expected it to happen simultaneously.
