Someone's taken credit for anonymous treat!

Quick silly one but not sure what to do.

Friend has had a hard time so I've sent them a cream tea type surprise treat. Left the card anonymous but she finds it difficult to receive without reciprocating and I wanted her to have something just for her with no strings, to cheer her up.

She posts it on social media, another Friend (I don't know) comments, saying enjoy, glad you like, you deserve it type thing

My friend says ahhhh was it you, youre amazing

Other friend says wink wink it's anonymous so I guess you'll never know

Now, to me there alluding it was then. Taking all the bloody credit. I know I didn't send it for credit or even thanks but I'm a little pissed off!

So the cream team came from a local cafe that we all follow, and there packaging is clearly marked

So another friend tagged the cafe and said "I think they're from here "

The cafes only gone and bloody popped up in the comments with a link to their page saying; you can get them here smiley face

Bizarrely, this happened to us this week: a cream tea in a box turned up with no message (on a special day, so not entirely weird) & I thanked the most likely person - only it wasn't them & they said so! Then I tried the next most likely & it was them. Very generous, really nice gift, top notch scones:

Do you think Cheeky Cow has convinced herself she has sent it as tne cognitive dissonance is huge.

Or plot twist, Cheeky Cow has also sent a Cream Tea and it’s about to be delivered later . Then we’d have to shut up sharpish.
