Except being on mumsnet what are you doing on a Friday night. Is the rest of the world really out while I sit on the couch watching the people I live with sleep on the couch

I attended my oldest (as in longest know friend, from schools) mum and dads funeral today. They died within a week of each other. One of the songs played was the power of love. The lyrics for a couple being cremated together were so apt.

It was sad, but what a way for a couple having been married for 60+ years to go.

Sat with 12 year old DS watching map videos on YouTube. He loves Geography, and to be honest these videos are really interesting!

I know the liklihood is it's nothing but to even have this worry not long after making something so incredible as my baby makes me sad.

Two younger DC in bed, eldest DC and DH got back from scouts about an hour ago. We've dispatched eldest DC up to bed and are drinking gin and watching Gogglebox on 4 +1 with DDog snoring and farming next to me.

Right now, I'm half watching the BBC 10 o'clock news on i-player and playing the ocasional word puzzle on the Wordscapes app.

72 years old, lazing on the sofa, absolutely shattered after spending 3 weeks decorating all by myself.
Looking good, but my god it's hard work. Arthritic knees, so i can't kneel down to paint skirting boards.
Also just started on statins, been quite an eventful few days. Sleeping really well though. 😴😁

I'm sitting down stuffing my face with M&Ms and playing catch-up writing to my mates on email and WhatsApp in-between checking out Mumsnet and looking online for clothes for my holidays coming up in July and August. I get distracted if I spend too long doing one thing 😂.

Sitting on the sofa with one of our three dogs, eating salt and vinegar crisps and drinking coffee, and watching Indycar Highlights because DH left it on this channel and went to bed, leaving the remote across the room and I haven't yet been arsed to go get the remote to watch something else.
