Sent an Xbox instead of a wonderbra due to a label mix up

Two people said I should have kept it!

I forwarded it on to correct buyer as seller send me a every label.

Would you keep or send on?

Thursa · 18/04/2023 20:11

I’d send it on to the person who paid for it.

Starhead69 · 18/04/2023 20:12

Send it on. It is not the buyers fault

SnuggleBuggleBoo · 18/04/2023 20:13

Obviously not. Anyone who would would be a really unpleasant individual.

TwilightSkies · 18/04/2023 20:13

Do the morally right thing

QueenAstrid · 18/04/2023 20:13

How can you even think about keeping it when the seller knows you have it and has asked you to forward it on?

violetskypurple · 18/04/2023 20:14

I'd send it on to the right person, I've received incorrect items a few times before and sent it to the right person (nothing high value though).

Yes, the original buyer of the Xbox would've got a refund but the seller would've lost the Xbox and lost the money for it for a silly mistake and if it happened to you then you'd hope someone would be honest and do the right thing!

JustFrustrated · 18/04/2023 20:15

Send it on!

Can't believe anyone wouldn't

maddening · 18/04/2023 20:16

I would have sent it - it isn't like it is a huge conglomerate that can absorb costs like that.

Seas164 · 18/04/2023 20:17

Well you know at least two people that you can't trust as far as you can thrown them.

Ballinluig · 18/04/2023 20:18

Is this even a real question?! Send it on!!

Phoebo · 18/04/2023 20:18

Well you should do what you'd want to happen if you were the seller or the rightful recipient.

Yes!

cherrypied · 18/04/2023 20:26

Of course I sent it on!

I haven't really told anyone as it's really dull other than DH and shop lady who both said keep it! ConfusedConfused

I though I was going a bit crackers sending it on! My moral compass was sent out of whack with what I now know are their crazy comments!

YES THIS IS A REAL THING!

"Send it on or steal it

Fixed it for you

TheArtfulScreamer1 · 18/04/2023 20:52

Send it on or return it to do anything else makes you quite low in my opinion. Vinted isn't about a faceless multi million pound corporation it's Jenny down the road who needs to try and make a few quid out of the kids clothes that they've grown out of so that she can buy some more in the next size up.

This.

nosyupnorth · 18/04/2023 22:10

I'd send it back/on.

But if it happened to me or somebody I know, I'd also have said 'keep it'.
I wouldn't have meant it seriously, but 'haha it's mine now' is a pretty standard jokey response to make about being given something nice in error.

The OP clearly says she sent it on.

Blossomtoes · 18/04/2023 22:16

You did absolutely the right thing.

Thursa · 18/04/2023 20:11

Same.

HappiDaze · 18/04/2023 22:20

You did the right thing

I've forwarded items on where I even had to do a bit of detective work to find out who it was from and to.

I was offered a gift for my troubles but declined because it was from a small craft business.

Skybluepinky · 18/04/2023 22:22

Send it on.

StoatofDisarray · 19/04/2023 04:49

I'd send it on to the owner. It wouldn't occur to me to steal it.

MrsTerryPratchett · 19/04/2023 04:51

Your DH is happy to rip someone off because they made a mistake. I'd be worrying I had.

IrregularChoiceFan · 19/04/2023 04:55

I'd probably prefer to send ir back to the seller to avoid a situation where the bother buyer says they never recieved it. Bur yes of course I wouldn't keep it.
