Sent an Xbox instead of a wonderbra due to a label mix up

Two people said I should have kept it!

I forwarded it on to correct buyer as seller send me a every label.

Would you keep or send on?

I hope they were joking because keeping it is a really morally shitty thing to do.

carriedout · 19/04/2023 05:05

I would be seriously disappointed if my DH suggested I steal something.

You did the correct thing, of course.

Toocooltoboogie · 19/04/2023 05:08

No because that would be stealing. You did the right thing.

Riapia · 19/04/2023 05:22

Surely the Xbox would be awfully uncomfortable.
😉😁😁

BCBird · 19/04/2023 05:27

No doubt I would return it.

BCBird · 19/04/2023 05:28

No punctuation. No doubt. I would return it.

KimberleyClark · 19/04/2023 06:51

No of course I wouldn’t keep it. You did the right thing. But some people unfortunately are really unscrupulous.

incognitodorrito · 19/04/2023 06:52

Dont be a dick !! Send it on (possibly get the original seller to cover postage via bank transfer).

Exhausteddog · 19/04/2023 07:03

I wouldn't keep it.
And that's the same even if it was from a large company.
John Lewis sent us something in error worth a few hundred pounds, we notified them and they insisted we had ordered it (we hadnt) in the end we did keep it but I wouldn't have done without notifying them.

DarrellRiversCriminalBehaviourOrder · 19/04/2023 07:07

Of course you send it on, if you're not a thief.

mudonmyslipers · 19/04/2023 07:37

If you'd accidentally sent the wrong item, what would you want the buyer to do?

Do that. :)

(Do to others as you'd like them to do to you - Bible)

Again, the op clearly says she sent it on.

rumpsteak · 19/04/2023 09:08

Your DH is morally corrupt🙄. I hope he has other traits that make him a good partner.

It's in the Bible, but it's origins are far older.

BreviloquentBastard · 19/04/2023 10:04

I'd be seriously disappointed in my husband if he suggested I rip off someone who is likely not doing great for money by stealing something from them. Not to be dramatic but it'd be serious conversation time for me, that shows a huge difference in morals that I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with.

notthisagainn · 19/04/2023 11:48

Send it on. It's so easily done when you are selling a few things. I'm waiting at the moment for the wrong item to be delivered to me so it can be sent on.

cherrypied · 19/04/2023 11:54

I think @nosyupnorth is right and he was being flippant/ half joking in a warped way. He does like getting does

He did receive a car part a few years ago from a private/ hobby seller and exactly the same thing had happened seller had mixed up labels. He did send it on to the correct buyer!

It think Vinted does have an element of trust it's not a fool proof solution to selling things.
