sacrilege and houmous

Anna8888 · 15/02/2008 16:58

hommous

Not really an issue though, as it is a transliteration from Arabic.

Pushes Twigs out of the way, in a really forceful way and starts jumping up and down in excitement, no lighting cider required,
"I got one , I got one "

sorry Oblomov, it is Chequers' (note that apostrophe!) lover who addresses her as 'trickle' - or treacle.

YANBU
Thedevilwearsprimark, your correction of Wannabe did interrupt the flow of a pretty emotional thread. There's a time and a place.
I did correct someone once but they were slagging off my profession at the time. I was being petty

ulB · 15/02/2008 17:39

ahem - unfitmother - but this is now a happy spelling bee thread yu wouldn't want to interrupt, would you?

ulB · 15/02/2008 17:40

unfitmother - think of some hard spellings and give us a clue!

scottishmummy · 15/02/2008 18:47

StealthPolarBear -by agreeing with OP you demonstrably think "correcting someone's spelling/grammar etc on a thread is actually quite petty and pathetic"Thus we agree so pull yer tongue back in, has been sticking out since 15:44:26. must be getting Sore

yurt1 · 15/02/2008 18:54

Wannabe- saw the post in question. Thought it was rather pathetic. Which is what I tend to think when someone corrects spelling in a point scoring exercise. Whatever the circumstances.

Do you have a special keyboard? I'm sure if I tried to type without looking at all I could end up one key out for the entire thing...

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2008 19:28

eww whag gottshnunny?

scottishmummy · 15/02/2008 19:31

I only ever correct my own.

Unless I'm in Pedants' Corner, of course.
