Thought it was a chocolate smudge on my arm from my toddler.... what's likely to happen... so disgusted with myself!!

This can’t be real.

ThreeblackCats · 17/04/2023 12:20

Yeah, sure you did! Are you not already back at school?

Pippa12 · 17/04/2023 12:20

Erm… not sure. I’m abit grossed out you ‘licked yourself clean’ instead of wiping it off with a cloth?!

MintMa · 17/04/2023 12:22

This reminds of my favourite forum thread ever (which also is probably not real)

You’ll probably be fine if you routinely worm your cats. And if you go use some listerine. I gave a tiny little kiss to the top of my cats head once and then realised she had somehow smeared shit on the top of it when grooming. That was 3 years ago and I haven’t died yet. I would in in no rush to repeat it though, it was rank.

Disgustedandfreakedout · 17/04/2023 12:28

Sadly I wish I was joking.

EarthwormJane · 17/04/2023 12:33

Lick it again just to be sure

Pixiedust1234 · 17/04/2023 12:37

Be grateful it was cat poo and not dog (or toddler). Most cats don't re eat another species shit.

I agree Listerine or drinking lots of alcohol is the best way forward.

GalileoHumpkins · 17/04/2023 12:44

Unless you actually ARE a cat why are you licking your own arm clean?

AlmostAJillSandwich · 17/04/2023 12:59

Am i the only one wondering how you got random cat shit on your arm?

TheDogthatDug · 17/04/2023 13:03

Did it taste nice?

Disgustedandfreakedout · 17/04/2023 14:29

@AlmostAJillSandwich I picked up my cat for a cuddle...

mainsfed · 17/04/2023 14:30

Why would you lick a random stain?

Do you also put your loo brush in the dishwasher?

IAmMeThisIsI · 17/04/2023 14:36

Oh come on! No one on this post has ever licked a finger to get a crumb of food off themselves or a child? Liars.

OP, you'll be fine. Just brush your teeth obviously.

I have genuinely never licked my own arm because I thought someone else had got chocolate on it, is that really so hard to believe?

Scalottia · 17/04/2023 15:08

What's your AIBU?

DrFoxtrot · 17/04/2023 15:18

I kissed my DC's pooey fingers a long time ago, when they came crying with hand outstretched and I thought they'd hurt themselves Blush

GoodChat · 17/04/2023 15:20

If it's just a smear you'll be fine, assuming your cat is regularly wormed.

Why are people pretending they wouldn't lick a bit of chocolate off their arm? To be fair, though, it is Mumsnet, so they'll probably be telling you how many calories you consumed from the cat poo in a minute.

mamabear715 · 17/04/2023 15:22

I absolutely believe you.. my late mum scraped some 'chocolate' off the doormat with her thumbnail before I could say 'the dog's getting old & incontinent..' :-0 I never did tell her, it was too late by then..

Your house must be clean for your mom to be willing to eat chocolate off the doormat Grin

My DS once ate a piece of cat poo and I called 111 and they said as long as the poo wasn't several days old he would be fine!

Oysterbabe · 17/04/2023 15:35

You clean yourself with your tongue like an actual cat?
