Just for fun

And to give me ideas on all the things I'm not doing but should

Drink more water
Get more fibre
Take magnesium
At least two omega 3 fish portions per week
Walk or ride anywhere within 1 mile radius of home

What else. There must be loads.

Don't get married, more specifically, don't get married to a narcissistic man child, who thinks he is the world's greatest authority on every aspect of your life, despite you earning three times his salary and paying all the bills.

The stress was too much.

30 different fruit and veg?

wow. I couldn’t even name 30 different ones never mind eat them!

I've been doing this for a year. It's quite easy once you put in a bit of thought. Last week was ...

peas, sweet corn, spinach (frozen)
potatoes, carrots onions
lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes
leeks, parsnips, celery
Peppers, radish, garlic, lentils,
kidney beans, rhubarb
satsumas, bananas, apples, pears
wheat (bread), oats (porridge)
coffee, peanut butter,
fennel seeds, parsley, sultanas, thyme.

Making a decent veggie soup, a curry or casserole and having fruit as snacks all help.

There’s nothing you can do to guarantee a long life. You could be in a car accident or be diagnosed with a terminal illness next year or next week. So we should appreciate the time we have. On that subject, Oliver Burkeman’s book Four Thousand Weeks is a good read about how we use our time.

But equally, we each (hopefully!) have many decades ahead of us and it makes sense to take care of the body we’re in to have a better quality of life - keep moving, eat veg, take care of our bones etc. (my mum got a spinal fracture in her 70s which made me very aware of osteoporosis risks!).
