Just got up and about to be the Easter bunny and set out a small hunt in the garden for Dd. Have a huge one planned at a friends with around twenty mums 🙈now the thought of it is 😫but I get serious fomo if I don’t go to these things and feel bad my Dd is missing out
Is the hunt at home and dressing up enough, what are you doing?

We've just done a hunt in the garden. Going out for a pub lunch with family later.

LisaD1 · 09/04/2023 10:25

My kids are grown, eldest is 23, youngest 15. Currently at the airport collecting 15yr old from a ski trip. When home DH and I are going into town for some shopping. Could be any other Sunday for us!

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 09/04/2023 10:41

@LisaD1 where are you that the shops are open? Ours are all closed round here.

Done egg hunt, DD has eaten loads of chocolate already, we're going to do a roast but decided to move that to tomorrow because forecast says it will be drizzly and cold so a roast will be more appreciated. Going to go for a pub lunch instead and let someone else cook for us.

PinkiOcelot · 09/04/2023 10:46

@LisaD1 theres no shops open around here at all. Where are you?

Just going to be tidying and washing like I usually do on Sunday. Then dd and her partner coming for a roast later. Nothing special really.

whatisforteamum · 09/04/2023 10:53

Pottering then walking round our beautiful town looking for any open coffee shops.Dd is coming for a roast mon with her bf we hardly see them as the live 4 hours away.
Chocolate and Marfs later.
I used to work all 4 days over Easter so very relaxing .

StiggyZardust · 09/04/2023 10:55

Driving home from Fort William to near Gatwick. Had a lovely holiday, sad it's over.

QforCucumber · 09/04/2023 10:55

Kids are 6 and 2 here - no hunt, no extravagant Easter bunny deliveries, they are more than happy to come down to a few eggs on the table.

out for a walk shortly, lamb leg in the slow cooker. Will come home, watch a movie (thinking wall-E) and have toasties then the roast around 4:30

Dracuuule · 09/04/2023 11:00

We're doing a load of diy this bank holiday weekend. I'm fed up of the house looking run down and messy.
We'll go for a walk later then home to roast dinner and chocolate for the kids.

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 09/04/2023 11:02

3-4 loads of washing, cleaning the patio, painting some furniture, digging up the nettles under the hedge (for them to come back 2 weeks later), the usual Sunday stuff here. Not really into Easter

Pollymollydolly · 09/04/2023 11:04

Eating Easter eggs then a family get together for roast lamb. Perfect!

zingally · 09/04/2023 11:09

Nothing much going on here. Our 6yo twins got 3 eggs each (one from dh and I, one from my parents, one from my sister). We're not bothered by easter egg hunts or anything like that.
DH and I are both as atheist as they come, but I personally like the children to know about the story behind the various festivals (not just Christian ones), so we'll probably have a chat later about the Easter story (they know a bit from school, but it's not a church school), and I'll probably see if I can find a kids youtube video for them to watch.

I'm doing us a lamb roast for lunch, which is a bit of a treat, because lamb is so expensive! A tiny joint that'll just do us 4 was nearly a tenner.

Rosebel · 09/04/2023 11:10

Haven't done anything. For some reason 2 year old is still asleep but okay as I checked on him twice so haven't even got up yet.
I should do we're supposed to be having a roast and I've got stuff to do for work but a lie in is such a rare treat.
Spoke too soon, toddler is awake now.

Eastertooearlystart · 09/04/2023 14:45

@whatisforteamum What’s Marfs?

RuthTopp · 09/04/2023 14:50

Emptied out my linen cupboards , gave 5 t towels to dh for the garage. Half a bin bag of towels to go to the local cat rescue , and two more bags of thin sheets / old duvet covers for a tip trip either tomorrow or Monday.

WindyWends · 09/04/2023 14:51

I've done a workout and a run on the treadmill, had a shower, put a wash on, and put a beef shoulder joint in the slow cooker.

Spent a few hours clearing brambles in the garden, and then had lunch and added lots of veg in the slow cooker pot. Just had a lovely nap, going to clear away my gardening bits now and make DH and I a cuppa. DH has been mowing the lawn and pottering, this evening we'll eat together after I've sorted the pork stew and we'll chill out watching TV.

Bliss!!

WindyWends · 09/04/2023 14:52

*pork shoulder joint, clearly still asleep!

Glitterybee · 09/04/2023 14:54

Kids are teens so past the Easter egg hunting stage…

we were out all day Good Friday & yesterday so today is a PJ day. We’re having a roast dinner, followed by lots of chocolate and not moving from the sofa all day. Heaven ❤️

AlwaysGinPlease · 09/04/2023 15:04

DH made coffee and hot cross buns and we sat and ate them in bed. I never eat in bed ever but it was lovely! Got done washing on the line. Took the dogs out. Went for a bike ride. Had lunch. Now sitting chilling watching tv and browsing MN etc. I could fall asleep any minute though

AlwaysGinPlease · 09/04/2023 15:06

*some washing not done washing 😊

AveragePerson5 · 09/04/2023 15:08

Decluttering!

LittleHouseonthemoon · 09/04/2023 15:12

Spring cleaning and decluttering. Dc are eating chocolate and playing and dh is home for a few days so it’s my chance to get the house sorted out

newtb · 09/04/2023 15:17

Had a late morning in bed, all toasty. Took 2 of my quilts to wash and dry them in the machines in the supermarket car park. Sat in the sun with the window down on my Kindle. 26° in the sun. Then came the long way home and had another sit in the sun until it got a bit hot.

FelicityFlops · 09/04/2023 15:22

Nothing

PollyThePixie · 09/04/2023 15:28

Watched Easter from Kings on catch up early this morning. Prepared a one tray roast dinner for cooking later in the day and spent the rest of the day on the sofa watching the last 5 episodes of series 4 of Fauda on Netflix. Will sit down to dinner later this afternoon with any of my children who fancy nipping into mums today.
