Just got up and about to be the Easter bunny and set out a small hunt in the garden for Dd. Have a huge one planned at a friends with around twenty mums 🙈now the thought of it is 😫but I get serious fomo if I don’t go to these things and feel bad my Dd is missing out
Is the hunt at home and dressing up enough, what are you doing?

I did an egg hunt for DS then had to hide all the eggs again because he enjoyed it so much then did a treasure hunt for him. Finally got DD up at nearly 2 o'clock and did an egg hunt and treasure hunt for her too. Now I'm cooking dinner but can't be bothered with roast lamb, instead we're having duck confit from a tin with duchess potatoes (frozen, from lidl) and salad. Soon I will have a glass of Sima (Finnish mead) then crack open the wine.

Been a shit day here. My DP is working so I'm on my own with a baby and a toddler. We had a sewage leak outside 🤢 so have had Yorkshire water here all morning flushing pipes.
Weather is beautiful but can't let the kids outside to play or put any washing out because our arsehole neighbour is pumping thick smoke out of his chimneys and my whole garden stinks.
He's also blasting music through the wall 😑

Was hoping to enjoy my long weekend before going back to work but tomorrow will be similar to today. I haven't even got an Easter egg to eat 😓

I've done loads of laundry as I've stripped the beds, made a crumble and a fudge cake for pudding tomorrow when adult dc, dgs and exh are coming for family dinner. Only me and dd here today, ds is at exh's. Will give everyone eggs tomorrow dd not bothered about chocolate so will most likely end up using hers for baking at some point instead.

DD was violently sick all over the car on the way out to spend the day with family, so currently pinned down on the sofa under a poorly little one 🙁

Dh is cooking a massive roast lamb. Can't wait.

Had planned to book our 'family' holiday today but dp now wants to wait a few weeks as we had 'words' last night. Nothing huge nor big but apparently big enough for him to not commit to this holiday booking. So unhappy.

Fretting about work.

DS is home from uni, just for the weekend. We all had a massive lay in then been mooching about. I just made a massive Indian meal, we are all stuffed watching football (only DS really into it). Tonight DS is having some friends round/babysitting DD so that we can go out for a friend bday. All v low key. DM is pissy that we haven’t invited her round but we just wanted some time with DC on our own

DD is only a toddler, so did a small easter egg hunt for her in the garden this morning with those hollow plastic eggs you can buy, then the 3 of us (DD, DH and I) went to a country park near us for a walk, lunch and a play in the (huge) playground. DD's just about to go up for a bath, and then we'll reheat last night's takeaway curry for dinner once she's in bed 😋.

We went to Legoland discovery centre and it was really disappointing, for just over £80 for two adults and two children we were struggling after two hours for things to do and ready for the long drive home. Kids are now playing with their Lego waiting for their pasta tea.

I went for a swim and then visited my parents

I had a lie-in while DC and DH went out to ride on trains. Then DC and I went out for lunch and to the local big park while DH relaxed and then got ready to go out. Now DH has gone out with a couple of friends so DC and I have had a chilled dinner and soon we'll do bath and bedtime routines. Once DH gets back, we'll have iftar together. Then tomorrow we'll go hunting for discounted chocolate!

We got up at 8 for an egg hunt, then I went back to bed for a few hours. We've just chilled all day like any other Sunday.

I had a lie-in then got up and put washing out on the line. Hubby and I cleaned the front room then I cleaned top of the fridge. Now waiting for the lamb to cook for tea 😁

Dh is on call this weekend (rural GP) so I've come along with him to keep him company - got a wee air b&b for the weekend, and I'll go home tomorrow.

Friday and Saturday were glorious here so we went for a drive and had dinner outside a local pub last night, it was sheltered enough to just need a jumper.

Today has been weird, we're both exhausted with stuff going on and have each slept for portions of the day, but not at the same time!!! I'm sitting with the remains of a curry and a glass of wine, he's gone back to bed. Kids are all old enough to stay home and look after the dog.

Been a bit weird as we're Christians and haven't been at church at all over Easter, but in many other ways the rest has been good for us both.

Soft boiled eggs for breakfast for me and the dc, peanut butter on toast for vegan dh, I hung the washing out and prepared the roast while dh put the hoover round and hid the eggs, egg hunt took ages because dh forgot where he'd hidden one of the eggs and no one could find it, had a roast dinner at about 3pm, followed by chocolate and a film. Right now, dd is drawing, ds is up in his room probably staring at his phone, dh is pottering about upstairs somewhere and I am on the sofa trying not to fall asleep and contemplating making the shepherds pie for tomorrow with the left over roast lamb

We went to my parents Fri afternoon to see them, some mutual friends plus my sister's children. Mum and her friend did a small egg hunt there for the dc using very small eggs and bunnies. Plus DS brought home an egg from my parents and one from the friends. He has some kinder chocolate animals from us. He is very happy with that as he doesn't actually eat much chocolate.

So today, we had the day to ourselves. Got ready fairly slowly then set out on a big walk at around 10am. Did 10 miles plus a short stop for a light lunch at a pub on the way round. Just been chilling since we got back.

We've been to visit family for a catchup then home for a roast dinner.
Now all bathed in pjs and doing Easter crafts with the kids.

We had an egg hunt at home this morning for the DC, then to my parents for another egg hunt and a lovely lunch. DH has done some ironing and hoovering and watched the football this afternoon, DC are playing, I have sat in the garden with the dog and watched a bit of tv.

We were hoping to get some gardening done tomorrow but there is rain forecast, so now I'm planning a bit of a sort out, tidy up and spring clean instead. Back to work on Tuesday after a lovely week off.
