Easter food eaten already

I did a big shop yesterday in anticipation of the Easter weekend.

6 bottles of wine- only 4 left
2 large bags of crisps- only half a bag left
Large bag of salad leaves- only half left
3 Easter eggs- only one left

Did I under buy, or over eat?

I hope the OP managed to replace the Easter eggs, was in Tesco yesterday and they were down to half a shelf, and the assistant said that when that shelf was finished that was it.

( no reduced eggs to buy next week, sniff!)

The salad was unforeseen, but I feel like you could have planned better with the rest

I do have a whole chicken in the fridge. With half a bag of salad this should last us until May at least

What kind of chicken and salad will keep until May?

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 09/04/2023 02:38

I like your work on the Easter eggs
2 gone before actual Easter.

No. If you feel like enlightening me, feel free.

Happy Easter @piggypoop

Time to feel released to finish off that salad.

A Mumsnet chicken, they're magical things and manage to feed a family for multiple meals, then of course the bones get used for soup. If you're only getting a paltry 1.5 or 2 meals out of your roast chickens you're doing something very wrong.

You've drunk two bottles of wine since yesterday?!

I'll get you some smelling salts!

People do easter shopping? I just do my normal shop with extra bottle of wine since its a bank holiday.

No Easter eggs?
