Easter food eaten already

I did a big shop yesterday in anticipation of the Easter weekend.

6 bottles of wine- only 4 left
2 large bags of crisps- only half a bag left
Large bag of salad leaves- only half left
3 Easter eggs- only one left

Did I under buy, or over eat?

That's nothing, DS and I were given some Easter eggs when we visited family last weekend, and ate them that same evening. When you're grown up you can eat whatever and whenever you jolly well like - as long as it's yours.

The rest of it... It's Maundy Thursday, so it is already Easter weekend. Enjoy the rest of it. And I hope the repeat trip to the shops isn't too busy.

You’ve just reminded me, we did this last weekend too. Ahhhh this is why I can’t have chocolate in the house 😂😂 Easter is a real test that I have failed.

We’ve been eating hot cross buns since February in this house! I’ve had every flavour available.

Well if you want the same amounts of wine, crisps and salad every day then you haven't got enough but I'm guessing you have other meals planned and don't intend to drink a bottle of wine each 5 days in a row?

For comparison I've got 2 bottles of wine, some tonic to go with gin, 2 bags of tortilla chips, some bacon and eggs, ingredients for a chilli and some stuff to make Pancakes. We plan to get fish and chips tomorrow and are off for a roast on Sunday and we have no salad.

Someone ate all the raisins and peanuts. But that was me, and it wasn't easter food. We ate the lamb yesterday. Well half of it.

I hope we don't forget the hot cross buns in the bread bin though.

I was seriously unwell a few years ago and was left diabetic🙇🏻‍♀️It could have been much worse, but this isn't great either. I miss the days when food was just food, not something that needs to be carefully monitored.

so I say, bloody well enjoy it & clearly you under shopped!! But that's OK, DH can fix it!! Or one of the many delivery services!! & you'll know better for next year. Buy more!!

adulting is vastly over rated!!
