Should mention as a household we have had pretty much every bug going around this winter and Im slightly at the end of my tether! Grin

Woke up on Friday with sore sinuses and a bit of a head cold but nothing major. Then yesterday got the worst stomach I've ever had, constant feeling of nausea, stomach gurgling but by far the worst bit is constant diarrhoea, it comes without any warning so (tmi I'm sorry!!) I've literally soiled myself at least 3 times which I've never done before.

I'm also feeling like I'm on the verge of having a fever/chills. So I feel a bit cold then a bit hot and am achey but not quite bad enough to call it chills if that makes sense.

All day yesterday I thought the stomach upset was to do with a medication I took but I doubt that now as it's been too long out of my system.

Has anybody else got this at the moment? I feel like I need some solidarity haha

Had something similar the other week. Doctors just told me it's a bug to rest, drink water and it could last a week. Took me over a week, felt sick for another week

WeAreTheHeroes · 02/04/2023 14:48

Have you tested for Covid? Could be A.N. Other bug though

Splodgerbodgerbadger · 02/04/2023 14:50

I had this a couple of weeks ago and put it down to the recent increase in my medication, still continued once I was advised to stop it and then I tested positive for covid a week later.

thegrain · 02/04/2023 15:06

Covid

springingintospring1 · 02/04/2023 15:10

I did consider covid but I've just taken a test and it's negative. I'll keep taking one the next few days just incase. We are confined to the house at the moment anyway as Dc have chicken pox so I won't be spreading whatever it is to anybody

I've had this over a 6 week period! Started with all the cold stuff etc, now it's progressed to stomach. Been bad with my stomach for a week. Feel like I'm turning a corner today but still not feeling amazing! It's not covid I've tested throughout.

Our household had this, dd came home from uni full of cold, passed to ds, midweek they both had V&D although dd had gone home by then. Ds continued to throw up for a day, dd was sick every night for a week. The following week dh was sick on his way home, 3 days later the other ds was sick and had 24 hours unable to keep anything down. I haven’t been sick but have had the chills, extreme tiredness, feeling very lethargic and moping about. I think it must be the same bug as we’ve all had similar in the space of three weeks but it has crept through us all very slowly so it feels never ending! I have wondered about covid as I’ve been really struggling with my breathing while running even though I feel better in myself. None of us have actual covid symptoms though 🤷‍♀️

BooksAndHooks · 02/04/2023 15:19

We all had feeling like start of cold, feeling fluey but no temperature, stomach ache and feeling like we were about to throw up but no actual D&V.

Coolcoolcool · 02/04/2023 15:21

Yes! We’ve all had this this past week - took a week to hit all of us but mostly felt better after 48 hours.

Sexnotgender · 02/04/2023 15:25

Had it a fortnight ago, felt like I literally pooped out everything in my body. Awful.

springingintospring1 · 02/04/2023 15:33

Sorry to hear everyone's been feeling rubbish! @Coolcoolcool you're giving me hope that it may be over quickly though, I can't cope with it much longer. Everything is just going straight through me! We are supposed to be going away after the Easter weekend (UK) so I'm hoping it doesn't go through everybody else in the house too

This is exactly how I'm feeling, it's horrible isn't it! Did you try to eat whilst you had it or just starve it off?

Noro or covid I’d say.

Vomiting and diarrhoea are covid symptoms. Articulately in children but also in adults.

I mostly nibbled rich tea to stave off the nausea.

It's nice to know what it is.

Crystalmays · 02/04/2023 15:40

Have all of this but also red sore and gungy eyes. Does anyone else have the eye thing too?

justasking111 · 02/04/2023 15:43

Had this Xmas Three days non stop poop. Like the movicol before a colonoscopy. Just drank water.

Where is the hysteria? Lots of people still have lateral flow tests in the house. Many of the OP's symptoms fit and in her place I would test and see. Covid is still around and still potentially very harmful to those who are clinically vulnerable. People are still dying with covid every day, it's just not being reported in the same way it was.

IhearyouClemFandango · 02/04/2023 16:39

My mum currently has it post COVID.

LividNC · 02/04/2023 16:42

I’d had three Immodium by 9am today. Never known the shits like it.

also been taking anti emetics for 48hrs.

now I’m bunged up but EXHAUSTED

Also did a rona test yesterday but negative.

DramaAlpaca · 02/04/2023 16:45

I had all of those symptoms last week, including the stomach ones. I'd never had covid so did a test just in case - positive. Almost recovered now, thankfully.

Anonymouseposter · 02/04/2023 16:45

I had similar including the sore eyes. Found an old lft test, it was Covid

zeldarubinstein · 02/04/2023 16:49

DH has something similar. He's been cold-y for a few days then last night he was up at 3am and back and forth to the toilet.
