We are going away all inclusive for a week.

What have I forgotten?

Cotton buds
snacks for travel to Save cash

A belt is easy to forget (my shorts don't stay up without one). Swimming goggles are useful and finding ones that fit my face is impossible so I treasure the ones I have! Driving licence if you're hiring a car.
I too have a list in my phone now which I go through every time and update as I need to.

Anything which can't be packed the night before:

Phone (still on charger)
Toothbrush/toothpaste
The sandwiches/drinks in the fridge we were going to eat on the way

I usually leave out a list of these things so we know what to grab.

An entire suitcase or backpack or handbag left upstairs or in the living room, or a coat. Now each person is responsible for knowing how many bags they have and whether they have a loose coat, and for doing a last-minute check to be sure it has gone into the car.

I always regret not packing a couple of empty plastic bags for dirty clothes or soggy swimsuits. They weigh nothing!

DH always forgets the converter plug for his shaver.

I forgot pants once. My pants. French supermarkets sell them so all was ok. Enjoy!

Bras and swimwear. Anything else can be bought there

This! Last trip we went on I picked my son straight up from football club. Totally forgot to pack trainers. He had to clomp around in his football boots until I could find the nearest shop that sold shoes.

Oh, and I recently forgot to pack my contact lenses. Not easy to get replacements of those abroad!

If you’re my husband, you’ll have forgotten to pack enough of anything to wear. And quite possibly swimwear for a beach holiday.

The first holiday we went with our baby I think I was so ultra organised packing every possible item a baby could ever need that when it came to my stuff I just threw some outfits in a bag and was sure I had everything. I got there and realised I hadn’t brought a hair dryer, curlers or straighteners. I very nearly went and bought a pair as my hair was so frizzy in the heat but eventually just embraced it and did the wet plaits to dry in the sun thing every day 🙈

Phone charger. And coming home I have left items of clothing on hangers and in drawers.

And nail file. Always get a hang nail
