We are going away all inclusive for a week.

What have I forgotten?

I once forgot my clothes
For context,I was dating a right wanker/Cocklodger-I was a single mum with very little money at the time
I'd paid for him to come with us and 10 minutes before we where due to set off,he dumped it on me that he wasn't coming with us
In a fit of temper,I threw a bag at him and threw him out
Put all the bags that where in the pile into the car but forgot the one I'd thrown and it had slid down the other side of my bed
I spent the whole week washing and wearing a pair of trackies,a shit tee and trainers
I had to hand wash my undies every night
He thought this was funny and spent the week on fb laughing about it

I got back and dumped his piss head arse

Now I always make a point of double checking where my clothes are

I always wish I'd brought my nail clippers by day 3.

Nail clippers here as well! We have so many pairs as well as we always forget them and DH insists on finding a chemist and buying a new pair whilst we are away.

DuesToTheDirt · 01/04/2023 21:32

Pyjamas and conditioner.

I particularly hate forgetting conditioner on a trip abroad, and wasting time in supermarkets or chemists trying to figure out 'conditioner' in some random foreign language, from the near-identical bottles on the shelves.

Punts

mrsbyers · 01/04/2023 21:36

Blister pads always come in handy for summer shoes on winter feet

Travel plugs and chargers
Data roaming sorted

Travel adaptors I tend to forget to bring home!

Why do toe nails grow like weeds on holiday???

FrownedUpon · 01/04/2023 21:41

Hairbrush. I have a wide selection of brushes I’ve bought on various trips because I forgot mine.

TheChosenTwo · 01/04/2023 21:45

Can’t think of anything that really sticks out.
But I pack in about 15 minutes (everyone else packs for themselves) and always go with the attitude that as long as we have passports and money everything else is able to be purchased if necessary. I purposely leave buying certain things until we get to the airport or to the destination itself.

mathanxiety · 01/04/2023 21:46

Sunglasses. I have eleventy hundred pairs as a result.

goingtotown · 01/04/2023 21:48

KimberleyClark · 01/04/2023 21:49

Ellmau · 01/04/2023 21:49

I once forgot my toothbrush and had to try to explain what I wanted in an Italian shop.

Ditto hairbrush in Austria.

And once all my knickers.

PoshCoffee · 01/04/2023 21:56

Bag to put dirty washing in.

sanitygirl · 01/04/2023 22:14

Sunglasses
Swimwear

Yes I have forgotten both of these for summer holidays!

ilovewispas · 01/04/2023 22:14

Kid's special teddy 🙈

Aposterhasnoname · 01/04/2023 22:16

Four gang extension, hairbrush, immodium. That said, as long as you have tickets, passport, money, you’re golden. Everything else you can buy

whoateallthecookies · 01/04/2023 22:17

Medication, especially anything on prescription. You can't necessarily buy that (and yes, it's the voice of experience speaking)

PolkaDotMankini · 01/04/2023 22:17

I always used to forget my toothbrush and sometimes my hairbrush. I now have a set that stays in my travel bag.

Ireallydohope · 01/04/2023 22:18

My shampoo and conditioner which was particularly annoying but luckily I had Nuxe oil which was ok in my hair after a shower

This year I might take a foot pump for inflatables

Ireallydohope · 01/04/2023 22:20

Yes basic medication and antibiotic eye drops which can also be used in ears if you get pool ear infection

barbrahunter · 01/04/2023 22:20

travel wash
