Where's Philip Schofield

He's off This Morning with no explanation this week.

The story broke about husband brother yesterday.

And the story's not even appearing on any online news outlet front page of articles today.

We see you

Answering the question "where is Philip Schofield" is not an issue. His brother is on trial (fact) and he may be supporting the family, or called as a witness.

But that's where the speculation needs to stop.

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 28/03/2023 09:00

To quote one of Tim Minchin’s less commercial songs, “if you cover for another who’s a kiddie fucker, fuck you you’re no better than the mother-fucking rapist.”

Yesterday’s thread was deleted and I imagine this one will be too.

The problem with discussing a trial which is currently taking place is that social media discussion and speculation can jeopardise the trial which would be really awful for the alleged victim.

If the opinions of MN could sway a trial, I worry for our justice system honestly.

Exactly''

Again, the story is already out in the papers.

Absolutely no point in deleted a thread on a forum in that context...

Yes, the facts are public. Speculation on forums often tends to go beyond the facts though.

I am absolutely not a fan of PS and his brother clearly sounds like a horrendous person.

But there is a victim at the centre of all of this and I would hope he wouldn’t have to go through the ordeal of a trial more than once (which is what is likely to happen in the event of a mistrial).

LostAtTheCrossRoad · 28/03/2023 09:24

I have a friend who worked in media and was discussing Philip Schofield and young boys around 15 years ago. I thought she was nuts then. Now I'm not so sure.

I'm not sure this is a laughing matter, whichever way you look at it.

We can't compare Philip to a pedophile though. If the rumours about the runner are true I don't think he was a child? He was at least working age?

He was ten when PS met him.

There I’ve done it now, I’ll await the deletion like the thread yesterday.

Wasn't he 11 or 12 when they first met?

The other problem is that the facts presented are often censored ones because anything you say against PS gets deleted. So juries are only swayed by what the media wants them to see. You can only speak about certain people in the positive it seems,
especially when they have injunctions.

The comment was funny not the situation. The situation, if true, is appalling

LivMumsnet · 28/03/2023 09:43

We're just dropping in to remind you that this is an ongoing trial and, as such, we will have to remove posts which speculate about the case or those involved. If these posts continue, we will remove the thread.

Only difference here is his brother couldn't hide behind an injunction. It's only a matter of time...

FiveShelties · 28/03/2023 09:56

a civilian Police worker?

I’m sure this will get deleted like the last one. It’s a shame because one day, when it all comes out, it would be good to look back and be able to say we tried to talk about it, he didn’t fool everyone.

Good job the Tattle mods are more lenient

Enfys1982 · 28/03/2023 10:13

There was a lengthy thread on this very subject yesterday which was taken down unsurprisingly.

None of us should be condemned for the actions of our family members.

I do think Phil is a creep though.

I can’t say I disagree @Phos but the law is what it is 🤷🏼‍♀️

Where's Philip Schofield
Phos · 28/03/2023 10:53

Oh I know @waterlego I was being a bit glib in honesty.

waterlego · 28/03/2023 11:05

Ah, I hear you @Phos.

supermodel · 28/03/2023 11:18

From what I have read his brother had told PS what happened, he advised him not to do it again and did not inform the police. The victims counsellor reported it when he confided in them a few months later. He can’t be held accountable for what his brother may have done but he should have gone to the police, if this account is true.
