I'd buy a brand new Volvo 340 straight from the Volvo dealership

I would have finished with him.

Mixedberrygenderfluidmuffin · 26/03/2023 17:10

Buy a small terraced house in Hackney.

TroysMammy · 26/03/2023 17:10

Tell myself to enjoy exercise or you'll end up as a 55 year old 5foot pudding.

Myneighbourskia · 26/03/2023 17:11

Kick my dad's arse out of the house. Buy a few houses in South Central Dublin for 30000 punts that are now worth a million each.

Go to Berlin and East Germany before the wall fell.

I went to Berlin and East Germany in 1983! I wish I'd taken more photos

Mixedberrygenderfluidmuffin · 26/03/2023 17:11

Oh, and I wouldn't finish my degree, I would get a job paying enough for the house in Hackney, and let that earn more money for me than I've managed.

Claysta · 26/03/2023 17:12

Work harder at school and realise that despite all the worries and pressure I put on myself that eventually it was going to work out and be ok.

UrsulaBelle · 26/03/2023 17:13

I wouldn’t stress so much about my A levels and I’d maybe not come down with shingles. And I’d avoid meeting my exH in the year below me at school. 🤞

Fridaysgirl17 · 26/03/2023 17:13

Go see my parents as I was born in 83 , I saw how they are with my kids & they are amazing, well my dad is,my mom passed a year ago but she adored my boys... To see them with me as a baby would be a memory to have ❤️

KatherineJaneway · 26/03/2023 17:13

I'd pull myself aside and tell myself to stop eating so much, concentrate on school big time, life will be OK, punch the bullies in the face (only way they will ever leave you alone), transfer what I have learned about life and save to get on the property ladder ASAP.

Sixmonthcruise · 26/03/2023 17:13

Stay put and not leave. I was 10 in ‘83. Adulting has proven to be too much hard work. My happiest days were in the 80’s.

PuppyMonkey · 26/03/2023 17:14

This depends, am I the age I am now or the age I was then?Grin

SpringViolet · 26/03/2023 17:14

I’d show my teachers the bruises on my neck (hidden by my sister’s polo neck my mother forced me to wear for ) and tell them my mother strangled me so hopefully I’d be removed from home, put into care and my mother publicly shamed which would have been better than being constantly physically and emotionally abused within my own home by people who were supposed to love me.

thequeenoftarts · 26/03/2023 17:14

Given my stupid teenage head a bloody good wobble

TheDogthatDug · 26/03/2023 17:15

Work a lot harder in school. I did alright but went to uni as a mature student, would have been better if I had done it when younger

parentallyadept · 26/03/2023 17:15

Not have meningitis

This is what I’d do, I’d buy a brand new Volvo 340 straight from the Volvo dealership

This is exactly what my mum did in 1983. She’d never had a new car before, it was high excitement! Metallic blue too!

Crabwoman · 26/03/2023 17:17

Tell my gran to stop being such a mug.
Knock my DM and DD (teenage parents) heads together. Tell them to stop being so stubborn and that they needed to have a conversation.

Ambertonix · 26/03/2023 17:17

Book to see as many of my favourite bands as i could afford. Going to gigs is my absolute favourite thing to do and the 80s were the best imo.

cocksstrideintheevening · 26/03/2023 17:18

Eat pacers.

youshouldnthaveasked · 26/03/2023 17:19

Tell my parents they don’t need any more children

BellePeppa · 26/03/2023 17:19

Buy a property in London, or if that was still too expensive buy one in Brighton/Hove.

daisy1765 · 26/03/2023 17:20

I'd go and give my Dad a hug and ask
him all the questions I didn't ask.
He died in 1984.

Yes buy a run down terrace in Camden or Islington

MarchMadness23 · 26/03/2023 17:21

Can I please take all the Cancer Research?

I'd do that & prevent my Grandad from dying, which in turn would stop the Best Nana ever from dying from a broken heart.
