I'd buy a brand new Volvo 340 straight from the Volvo dealership

I had a brown (Yeuk) automatic 340 but it wasn’t automatic like we know - it was called a variomatic.

what would I do?

i wouldn’t have sex with my bf and then I wouldn’t get pregnant just before my 16th birthday.
this would lead to a termination ( decided by my parents) on my 16th birthday and forty years of trying to forgive myself

maddy68 · 26/03/2023 21:23

I would buy a series of houses

margesimpson40 · 26/03/2023 21:24

me too xxx

LivingDeadGirlUK · 26/03/2023 21:24

Lots of people buying property, are you ready for the 15% interest rates at the end of the decade?!

SonicStars · 26/03/2023 21:24

I would find that through a series of well placed bets

Iwrotethelyricstoaxlf · 26/03/2023 21:25

Not chew my gold stud earrings and then blame my younger brother.

Didn't you see Back to the Future part 2?

Untitledsquatboulder · 26/03/2023 21:27

See my dad again. Then my grandma, grandad and my two aunts.

lookluv · 26/03/2023 21:28

Jump in the car with my Dad and go to the einkaufzentrum to buy hot jam doughnuts for all the family and the two of us sit there and sneakily eat one before we got home and sat with everyone else pretending it was out first. Then letting Mum share her second one with me as a reward for getting up early adn going with Dad to do the shopping!

Sorry Mum !
Then hug both my parents everyday and say thank you for a brilliant childhood.

Nope because houses cost around 50p then so no mortgages!

I would be a property mogul by now if I could go back as an adult with my current money (not so much as the 1 year old I was then 😁)

SonicStars · 26/03/2023 21:37

I would set an alarm for myself for ten years later to head up to kirby and save James Bulger.

Or maybe just 4 years later to try and save the two 10 Yr olds through some kind of early intervention.

Sinat · 26/03/2023 21:40

I would buy Tears For Fears' 'Change' on vinyl and sit and listen to it on repeat

OP posts:
Luredbyapomegranate · 26/03/2023 21:43

Tried to persuade my parents to get help for my brother. Earlier intervention could have made a real difference.

Told myself I was ok and didn’t need to take on other peoples problems.

Not been a wallflower.

Bought apple shares

Taken computer science gcse

DustyLee123 · 26/03/2023 21:44

Tell my mum I love her, hug her, then ask her all about her life and family.

WickedSerious · 26/03/2023 21:44

I'd say "Yes,I'd love to have a drink with you".

Channellingsophistication · 26/03/2023 21:46

I’d wait a few years until i was old enough then buy 5 houses!

poorpaws · 26/03/2023 21:47

LTB and get divorced quickly.

LadyGAgain · 26/03/2023 21:47

WaitingForSunnyDays · 26/03/2023 16:04

Buy shares in Apple ( or persuade my parents to)

Yes. Super smart!

DustyLee123 · 26/03/2023 21:49

Second thing I’d do is tell myself I am slim, I am pretty, and to try for one of the rock boys because they might just say yes.

susiesuelou · 26/03/2023 21:49

I wasn't born until 1985, but if I went back to December 1983, I'd pick up my newborn big sister and cuddle her and look after her, as she has looked after me my entire life 💕

NicolaSturGONE · 26/03/2023 21:54

Assuming I went back as an adult instead of reverting back to a child, I'd tell my parents to get their child tested for the disabilities she'd later turn out to have.

And I'd tell my dad to wear a condom so I'd be an only child 😂

Coffeepot72 · 26/03/2023 21:57

I would embrace every single second with 100% enthusiasm because the 80s was a great decade to be a teenager
