I'd buy a brand new Volvo 340 straight from the Volvo dealership

1983 was options year for me, if I’d had my time again I’d take a different selection for o levels and a levels.

I would tell my young teenage self that it is neither big nor clever to take the gherkins out of Big Macs and throw them out of the upstairs windows onto unsuspecting pedestrians. Then I'd tell myself not to ring up random people from phone boxes and ask for Mr Wazzock.

Go and see my mum who would be suffering with PND at the time and tell her everything was going to be okay!

Give my late Mum a big hug and tell her that actually, I do want her to come to the Clash concert with me! (My friend dropped out at the last minute and I had no-one to go with so Mum offered to go with me... I was so scathing to her. I'm sorry Mum!)

Buy a studio flat. Always look back I wish I’d done that.

I was so young. I don't think I had any concerns. I went roller skating every Saturday. Roller skating was a massive part of the 1980s leisure culture.

Jump on my bike and go call on all my friends. I'm hoping it's a warm summer's day I'm being transported back to. After cycling round the streets and woods for a while and popping in and out of various houses, we'd maybe play cricket somewhere then get penny sweets from the sweetshop and eat them sitting on the wall.

Tell my 17 year old self to grow up and stop being such a child, be more confident, take the opportunities offered

Try and stay in the womb a little bit longer. My mum always said my disability was linked to being premature, although there isn't any real evidence of this. I was just thinking yesterday that I've done pretty well in life, if I could see perfectly too I think I may have been too much for the world to handle 😆

Nothing.1983 was wonderful. I might have been kinder to the young men I dated that year. They were incredibly nice, I just wasn't ready.
