Why are we waking over AI?

When many simply can't afford to eat. Why should we be bulding more nuclear power stations when they are so freaking expensive? Did he just give the US the green light to try new experimental drugs on us? Is the budget a dystopian nightmare. Discuss?

If we rely on expensive energy, we will be eating expensive food forever. Also there are massive problems with staff shortages in many places, where AI could help.
