To think I DID have covid

Seaglass87 · 05/03/2023 08:19

I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this before.
On Tuesday I had an awful headache and felt achey. On Wednesday I started to feel unwell with a runny nose and sore throat and took a covid test. I got a very faint positive. I used a different pack to do another test and got another faint but slightly darker positive.
I've felt slightly poorly until today but tested negative since.
My symptoms were the same as last time I had covid - except much much milder.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Do you think I had covid? I know nobody can be sure but I'm looking for consensus as it's driving me mad not knowing haha.

You had two positive covid tests. Why are you questioning whether you had covid?

Overthebow · 05/03/2023 08:20

You had a positive test so yes? Don’t see why you would think you didn’t.

MakeItRain · 05/03/2023 08:21

If you got positives, even faint ones, I think it's almost certain you had covid.

WordtoYoMumma · 05/03/2023 08:21

Of course you had COVID you tested positive

Aprilx · 05/03/2023 08:22

I don’t understand why you keep testing.

Saturdaydreamingway2355555 · 05/03/2023 08:22

You tested positive so you had covid!

Lindy2 · 05/03/2023 08:23

You tested and got faint positives therefore you had Covid. I'm not sure what else there is to say.

Seaglass87 · 05/03/2023 08:25

Yeah I get it sounds crazy that I'm questioning it. However other people are saying maybe I didn't have it and it was an error.
Also with it being a faint line for one day and then negative, when last time I tested bright red for over 10 days it is just startling I got off so easy.
I'm really pleased I'm getting these responses though. It's reassuring me.

You tested positive for covid and are asking if you had covid???
Why??

fajitaaaa · 05/03/2023 08:26

No you had covid.

Unless you had done the test just after eating a kiwi or something

BrutusMcDogface · 05/03/2023 08:26

Reassuring you that what? The tests didn’t lie? Well, this is odd! What’s the rest of the story?

This

Seaglass87 · 05/03/2023 08:28

Reassuring me that I'm right thinking I did have it and I need to ignore the people telling me i probably didn't have it and the test was right.

WaddleAway · 05/03/2023 08:30

You probably had covid. But does it really matter if it was Covid or another virus?

SallyWD · 05/03/2023 08:31

Sorry you got 2 positive tests. Why are you asking if you were positive?! It doesn't batter how faint the line was, it would only show if Covid was present.

Wonnle · 05/03/2023 08:38

So you test positive twice and other people question the fact ?

Why don't they believe you then

Toottooot · 05/03/2023 08:42

You had 2 positive tests - fits the issue here?

twitterexile · 05/03/2023 08:43

Eh?

Thisismeyeah · 05/03/2023 08:44

Simular situation with my DD last year. She had a strong positive then negative the next day we did 3 different tests to confirm as we were unsure and all negative. Booked and PCR for that evening still testing negative on home test. PCR came back positive so she did have covid at some point previous. I have since then doubted the accuracy of the home tests negatives dont mean you haven't got it; however, positives are positives.

Rosejasmine · 05/03/2023 08:45

Yes you had Covid and it sounds like it was milder this time. I had your symptoms for a few days and tested positive for up to 6 days. Some people still don’t believe Covid exists so that might give you an answer as to why they say you didn’t have it…

Whataretheodds · 05/03/2023 08:46

You had 2 positive tests. If other people don't believe them, what does it matter?

FiveShelties · 05/03/2023 08:47

Why don't people believe you?

Newyeardietstartstomorrow · 05/03/2023 08:52

It sounds like my symptoms when I had Covid. For most people it's a very mild virus, especially as most have immunity through vaxine or light exposure. Why are you being questioned?

TheRookie · 05/03/2023 08:54

My husband and I both had exactly the same symptoms in January, like down to the very minimum symptoms. I tested positive on lft and he tested negative. I was positive for 14 days, he remained negative the entire time but we MUST have both had covid!! Lfts don't matter anymore!

User18695438 · 05/03/2023 08:55

Glad to hear you are better now anyway
