Not to share my exam revision notes

A group of us work colleagues are sitting an exam in the summer. I’ve worked hard to go through past papers and write up the questions and answers so I’ve got them to refer back to.
The pack is about 15 sides of A4 so it’s taken a while.
Colleagues saw me printing them off and asked for copies to give to the others too! I laughed and said I might but I felt really annoyed by it. It’s taken me hours and hours to collate this information and they’ll just have that side to work through without doing anything!

AIBU or should I let them all have a copy too? No skin off my nose if they all pass etc .

I have someone my homework to copy once and they got an A and I got a B- moral of the story don't do it!

Just send them a link to website

Some people on here are either mugs, or the cheeky fucker sort of people who would ask for someone's notes.

No. You give them nothing. You've put the work in. They can also put the work in.

On what planet is it the OPs job to help her colleagues in this scenario?

It’s not ‘her job’

it’s just a nice thing to do at no cost to the OP

sone of us like to help people out, and as this thread clearly shows, others don’t.

It's a cheeky request, but I would probably give them a copy. The main value in the notes is in creating them, reading someone else's notes isn't a very effective way of revising.

@Nimbostratus100 ok so by your logic it’s the same as sharing a text book that helps someone complete their homework.

In this case it would be a textbook written by the OP then! Her original work.

Shes not their tutor! It’s not the same as just making extra copies of freely available information that’s in the ether.

It’s her work. That has taken her own time, presumable intelligence, resources & effort to synthesise, condense & organise information into a format that will enable her to memorise.

Someone else may not include her specific slant on things, use of references, quotes or specific argument. Her selection of information she decides to include is key.

Which ultimately will affect what marks she gets in the exam.

And why it makes it exactly the same as giving out her homework for them to copy.

Let us know what you eventually do, OP
