Failed miserably at biology at school, but have since done a GCSE in my own time - I just got my result today and I got an 8 (an A in old money). I feel sure there must be some mistake, but I am so thrilled!

YABU: Sit down and weesht, wummun, nobody cares

You didn't give in, set your mind on retaking the exam and passed with a really good grade.

Well done! I think biology is really tough as there is so much content to learn. Skipping and fizz sounds perfect.

Reminds me of the one time (and it was only one time) that both the Geography Teacher and myself were surprised that I got 74% our of 100 in a test.

I asked if it was right and she must have thought the same as checked.
Yep, it was a correct score.

Congratulations.
I felt the same 15 years ago when i did my maths gcse aged 47, and my tutor met me with her dh one day and told him I was her best pupil that year.
I was so chuffed.

Congratulations! I failed my Maths O'level 3 times at school and gave up. Last summer aged 61 I got a grade 5 at GCSE, so top of the Foundation level. I was so proud of myself and told everyone I could think of Grin
