Ffs. This has been an issue for years. I have in the past wiped his toothbrush in the piss. We only have one toilet.

Once again I've sat in piss and I'm at the end of my rope.

I don't care if he leaves the lid up, I'll happily put it down, I just don't want to sit in piss. I wouldn't sit in a public toilet with piss on the seat so why should I in my own home.

My ex MIL used to leave wee drops on the seat. I don't think she wiped 😫. She was quite elderly and was brought up quite poor... possibly toilet paper was for poo only? Sorry OP for derailing your thread - it has nothing to do with your problem. I second putting the lid down every time - then he has to lift it. If he missed on the seat after that make him clean the toilet properly every time. All of it. (Preferably with his own toothbrush....)

If he won't agree to that, he only gets to use the guest toilet. Or as an alternative, have you investigated splash back paint? Works wonders against back alley urinating or so I'm told.

I’m old and my advice to you is that decent communication is the bedrock of any relationship. Talk to this man about how you are feeling and make sure he understands how important it is for him to listen.
