Eye Colour disagreement

I (brown eyes) think our son has green eyes.

Blue eyed husband thinks they are brown.

In the sunlight they are grey on the outside, brown in the middle.

What do you think?

I would say hazel. my dc has exactly the same colour and we find it tricky to work out as they’re green ish with brown around the pupil.

My eyes are like this. I call them green but it depends on what colour clothes I wear they can appear grey hazel, blue muddy brown

There's not only one kind of brown!
They are hazel - i.e. greeny brown. Mine are like that and they definitely look different colours at different times or in different lights.

Photos are not that clear but could it be central heterochromia? DS has it, it's nothing sinister just one colour in the middle and another around the outside.

These are exactly the same as my eyes. I say green as close up they are dark green round the outside.

His colour of eyes (Hazel) are very interesting. Pop him in a green shirt and they will appear green, same with brown Smile

How old is he OP? I know two different friends' children (not related) who had similar browny green eyes that had turned brown by the time they started school.

Hazel. They are paler than brown and not true blue or green and often mixed. Blue, green and brown eyes are clearly that.

They’re just bog-standard hazel - a very common eye colour.

And yes, they will look more brown or green, depending on what the person wears. This is perfectly normal.

I have dark brown eyes, as does DS.

DH and DD have hazel eyes, that can look more, for example, green, if they wear a green top.
