Dress for wedding guest

I know it's in the bridesmaid section - is this too dressy for a wedding guest? Late spring hotel wedding.

Personally I think it's fine, and a lovely dress. It's not really much of a bridesmaidy colour so I think it works. Gorgeous colour, I love green. ❤️

Thank you, I'm mid-thirties rapidly approaching forty with a little one so don't want to worry about things riding up or down!

It is a bit bridesmaid looking, which isn't so much of a problem if they wedding bridesmaids aren't dressed in green and/or a similar style; but I think it's a bit too dressy for a wedding guest. You would wear that to a ball, not a wedding.

For your age I hate to say it but I think that dress will look like you've borrowed something to wear from someone much older than you. I love the colour but I am not gone on the dress. The lace looks like it is the scratchy type.

Lovely dress, just check the bridesmaid's aren't in green. It's not too dressy. Just make sure you don't make yourself look to old by going for court shoes or anything

I think it would be perfect for a wedding guest - but maybe check in with the bride first, just to make sure she's ok with the style and colour.

I think I'm the only person who has said that I think the dress is for an older woman. I'm not sure what it is about the style but I think it is an ageing style (could be the lace with the skirt being pleated). I wish I could explain and put into words why I think this way.

If the OP likes it and she's happy with it, it shouldn't matter what any of us thinks.

Thanks all, was thinking of some strappy sandals with a medium or kitten heel. Size 20-22 but carry it everywhere so don't look as big if that makes sense. Am thinking a silver clutch bag or similar

I think that one looks more bridesmaids actually.

Lovely dress. It is only very slightly a bridesmaid look. But if you had a suitable shortish jacket or cardigan that you can later take off with it that might change it a lot.
I am afraid I don't agree that it is age inappropriate. If anything the alternative dress would be aging. Too short. And you probably want something a little more flowing ? So it is lovely and consider a short suitable jacket that you can take off if there is an evening do later.
