Recently i noticed some teens with their hands down their Nike Joggers. While i was out.

Then i noticed this on a post on her about the Macdonalds troubles. Nike get up, hand down joggers,

So what does it mean, why have these teenagers got their hand down their joggers? Intrigued in a way.

I've seen this for years, I just thought it was a fad. Kids come up with the strangest things to be fads these days.

Snoken · 24/02/2023 17:30

I used to see that when I lived in the UK too, and I used to blurt out "get your hands out of your pants, disgusting!" when I walked past. It's apparently so that it looks like they are carrying a weapon down there. Ridiculous.

The purest of trackies don't have external pockets and sometimes have little pockets sewn inside.

Thank you for this interesting tidbit x

cassiatwenty · 24/02/2023 17:51

(I didn't mean this in a sarcastic way, I truly find it interesting Football )

It’s to look like they’ve got a gun, innit.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 24/02/2023 18:02

Do Nike joggers not have pockets?

icanneverthinkofnc · 24/02/2023 18:07

I tend to presume they have very limited intellect, toddlers put their hands in their pants.

Twisting · 24/02/2023 18:40

I think some blokes just can't help themselves. Or they've never been taught not to. Sad twats.

I do hate a man in joggers.

Situaciones · 24/02/2023 18:43

Crotch critters?

scoobydoo1971 · 24/02/2023 18:47

An epidemic of thrush from eating all the junk food.

Teenage lads have been doing this for at least the last 27 years to my knowledge...

Its an affectation, possibly linked to lack of pockets but I've seen plenty do it in joggers with pockets. It's meant to show that you're casual, you don't give a fuck, you're concealing something (drugs, gun) down there because gangsta's conceal stuff this way...

I'd bet half the lads doing this would not know why, they're just doing it because their mates do it, and then they've done it so long it becomes comfy and familiar.

I used to catch the lads at the group home I lived in aged 17, at this and would shout 'oi, has it fallen off then?' or 'is it so small you need to keep checking it?' and it didn't take long before they stopped doing it in the communal areas as all the other girls followed suit. No lad living in a mixed house like that wants the girls thinking they're checking or playing with an overly tiny willy!

Mangogogogo · 24/02/2023 19:21

A fully grown adult man was doing this at my daughters pick up at school! Fucking vile. I spoke with the teacher and she said lots of people complained.

good. He’s probs not but makes him look like a fuckin pedo

ShimmeringShirts · 24/02/2023 19:32

Maybe their underpants are a bit too tight? DS does this when he’s due to go up the next size clothing, things start getting a bit too tight for his liking (he’s 5!)

EatYourVegetables · 24/02/2023 19:33

I saw a kid (5?) and his dad walking around Asda both doing it. Family outing. I’ll never again buy vegetables which are not in a plastic bag 🤮

CoedenNadoligLanOHyd · 24/02/2023 19:48

I watched an American women's prison documentary the other week.

The new arrival was told by staff that hands are weapons in prison. And she was to put her hands in her waist band (prison issue clothes) when she walked passed the staff.

safeplanet · 24/02/2023 19:53

it's to do with weapons or pretending you have one

safeplanet · 24/02/2023 19:54

as in concealing your knife

GoodChat · 24/02/2023 20:01

I assumed it was to keep their hands warm

cassiatwenty · 24/02/2023 20:02

So you might get knifed if you get in their way. To be fair, Nike's joggers to look elegant, especially if they are white. Think Victoria Beckham but for l4ds.

How do you speak to them? Oi, oi, bruv you're getting on well carrying that Swiss knife, robbing that Asda innitFootballFlowers

JunkinDonuts · 24/02/2023 20:04

They're checking whether their balls have dropped yet while trying to look well ard.

This is a beautiful post. Thank you for making an effort Bear I find that whole subculture riveting beyond belief.

Omg a man in joggers -- so wrong that it's right, especially if it's Geordie/Newcastle type 🥰

TheYearOfSmallThings
They are feeling stressed and reassuring themselves that they still have a penis, because as long as they still have a penis, everything is basically ok.
I just spluttered out my tea😅

Daijoubudesu · 24/02/2023 20:12

To show that they have a knife on them.
