branflake81 · 09/02/2008 07:07

Bouncingturtle · 09/02/2008 07:15

FillyjonkisCALM · 09/02/2008 07:22

oh no YANBU

It is such a Bodenista thing

and also "fark"

wtf is that about?

Swear properly or not at all.

Feenie · 09/02/2008 10:33

Oh yes, had forgotten about 'fark'. Sounds like the queen has stubbed her toe or something.

SoupDragon · 09/02/2008 10:36

YABU.

Thread titles should not include proper swear words IMO. Inside a thread, fine, but not in a title.

cory · 09/02/2008 15:01

Quite. It is too by-our-lady unrefined!

As for swearing properly- is there no swear filter on the forum then? Most forums I go on have them.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 09/02/2008 15:07

It amuses me. It is MN-ism at it's best (as opposed to worst!

Although, to be fair, never seen much wrong with a good honest fuck.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 09/02/2008 15:08

I'm with Soupy on this one

Cappuccino · 09/02/2008 15:10

no feenie you are right

I use it but am unhappy with it

equally fark

bluddy works for me now I think about it

MarmiteMe · 09/02/2008 15:11

I hate fake swear words, fook, feck, fark.
What's it all about, I just say the real ones loud and proud

Feenie · 09/02/2008 15:17

I'm not against fake swear words. I just hate real ones written in a posh Southern accent!

OP posts:
MrsMattie · 09/02/2008 16:27

farkin and blardy work well with my cockney accent, actually

WezzleWoo · 09/02/2008 16:37

i like all of the fake swear words...it's just another change from RL....what MNs all about isn't it?

And I couldn't give a feck what they blardy sound like with my geordie accent...i'm typing the farking things not saying them

MarmiteMe · 09/02/2008 16:37

I'm a northener, I just sound like a fucking idiot when I say them

FillyjonkisCALM · 09/02/2008 17:52

see i use feck and so on out of habit, and politeness to those with a swear filter

but I agree there is something disturbingly RP about blardy

FillyjonkisCALM · 09/02/2008 17:52

ALSO and cna someone PLEASE clarify this

there was a time I thought when we weren't allowed to swear because of the SWMNBN situation

Are we now allowed to swear properly?

PeatBog · 09/02/2008 17:55

don't tell me this is another blardy thread about class

feck fuck fock farrrrrrrrk

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 09/02/2008 17:56

I was going for "Hotchpotch", Hatrick - it amused me to think of Boden tops called the same thing

We won't talk about DS2 and his big bed, if you don't mind... He is Not A Fan
