Been TTC for two years. No pregnancy at all. Been medically checked and all ok. Have children already so I know that I can get pregnant. Planned to have one more and was fairly relaxed about it although I had recurrent miscarriage previously but now I’m so fed up! I know I’m so so lucky to have DC already and I think I’ve become a bit obsessed with wanting a third DC.
Any tips to try?! I’m willing to try any weird and wonderful tips to help!! X

When I had recurrent miscarriages the consultant at the RPL clinic recommended Better You 3000 vitamin D spray. He says that most people in the uk have low vitamin D and this can be a factor in pregnancy loss. Apparently good levels of vitamin D also supports conception. And it will help your general health too so nothing to lose by trying it Smile

Starflower oil capsules- worked for me

Rockmehardplace · 19/02/2023 00:11

Took me 8 years to concieve and I swear what worked for me was reflexology and listening to a meditation app at night which relaxed me almost as much as the reflexology.

That and reminding myself, i HAD got pregnant before, my body knew what to do, and just sort of repeating that to myself.

Pointing out the obvious, you are having enough sex, aren't you?

Forget tracking fertility windows and OPKs.

Have sex 3 times a week every week until it happens.

BeckettandCastle · 19/02/2023 00:15

Reflexology worked for me too, and I hate feet & people touching them usually.

I found reflexology helped, I can’t say whether it was a coincidence or not. I really enjoyed the appointments and I thought if it does nothing, it’s an hour having my feet rubbed which was good for relaxation and I wasn’t on my phone/emails or stressed at all - which probably helped.

I also read some studies about couples that were offered reflexology while on the waiting list for IVF, and quite a good percentage fell pregnant and could come off the list.

Fertility is so hard as it’s often a combination of lots of things and it’s hard to pinpoint what works. Hopefully you’ll get lots of suggestions, wishing you all the best.

Was just coming on to say this. I had fertility reflexology. Had been trying for 9 months and fell pregnant after 2 appointments with reflexologist, can't say for sure it was this but it certainly helped me relax if nothing else good luck xx

It sounds like you are getting quite het up about this which won’t help. It sounds obvious but are you having regular good orgasmic sex? Or is the need to conceive making it a bit mechanical?
I know a few people who tried for ages and then got pregnant on holiday or after getting drunk etc. Basically you need to take the pressure off and start enjoying the process.

I remember someone telling me that best attitude to take is that you're really going to enjoy spicing up your sex life and focus on that. It takes a bit of pressure off because stress is the enemy. I found this along with conception supplements and working on mindfulness and mediations worked for me. Could also be the absolute luck of the draw but I think anything that stops it becoming all consuming is worthwhile because it really can feel like it takes over everything. Get out, do fun things and I personally made a point of enjoying lots of things I couldn't enjoy when pregnant while we were trying like cocktails/sushi/ nights out and fancy dinners/ long hot baths.

Also vote for pre-seed. Get it from Boots. It's basically a lube but it's to help couples conceive - it protects the sperm on its journey. We got pregnant first time we tried it. Had 3 attempts, first 2 times it didn't happen. 3rd attempt used pre seed and fell pregnant. Read reviews on it - they are overwhelmingly positive.

Try and have an orgasm.....who knew the female orgasm actually helps you get pregnant. An orgasm helps with sucking up the sperm through your cervix and shooting it up on its merry way😂

Hi. Try using a menstrual cup straight after you have sex to keep the sperm in. You can use opks to see when you're ovulating.

A friend had 5 IVF cycle failures. She then took a break and took very high doses of co-enzyme Q10 and got pregnant. Talking around 600mg a day.

Yeah I've read Q10/the one that's a version of q10 I can't remember the name of .... Are good.

TicketBoo23 · 19/02/2023 09:33

They say zinc & magnesium are v important too.

Can't you post this on the appropriate conception thread?

You seem nice.

Some people say the Ava bracelet tracker is good.

There is also a tampon type tracker.

It's important to keeping mind that your chance per cycle is now on average 15% (30s is about 20-25%) so you've got more months to get through before your odds work for you.

The odds are chance per cycle combined with cycles.

I put 34 into an online calc avd it came back with this;

I will try anything to conceive!!
TicketBoo23 · 19/02/2023 09:47

*20s is about 20-25%

TicketBoo23 · 19/02/2023 09:50

You will take longer the older you are, on average.

There are obviously exceptions.

That means chilling out and patience are worth doing.

(Not sure if it still has it but the NHS fertility page used to have a fact that 90% of under 39 women will fall pregnant within 2 yrs.

I had to quote it all the time when the (false) 35 cliff people kept harping on about 35).

fairgame84 · 19/02/2023 09:52

It took us 14 months to conceive DD.
The month we conceived we used a ferti-lily covered in preseed for the first time. DH had also been away for a week to his home country, he thinks the good food over there did it.
Some people use a moon cup but when I tried that I ended up with BV.

TicketBoo23 · 19/02/2023 09:55

I see you're around 2 yrs now, but things aren't always precise & exact for everyone.

At 34 you could be referred for investigation after a year or more of trying. Things could have changed since your had your kids, it might be worth checking
.
I remember that silly woman who made headlines claiming women hated her because she was too pretty, found out that her older French husband (who had presumed he was not the problem when they TTC because he he had kids already) actually had had an infection that damaged his sperm.

There could be any no of things worth checking out.

Don’t seem to ever get a positive ovulation test

Are you using the clear blue smiley trackers?

There are monitors and well.

Getting to grip with your cycle I'd important. I think some women's change as they get older. I fell pregnant, I thought, having sex too early for my cycle .... But I read that older women (not you at 34) often ovulate early.

It seems like you need to get the rolls Royce of trackers avd try to pin it down.

People say all have all the time but the reality is there are only 5 - 7 days to realistically get pregnant during. And not all couples can manage sex all the time.
