DH not come home

CrispsAndChoc · 17/02/2023 01:00

What do I do? DH went out after work and his friend has said they left at around 10.30 so he should have been home an hour ago. He’s not home and it’s very unlike home not to come home. I’m very worried

I'm assuming you've tried his phone etc? Were the friends able to say how he left? Eg on foot/ taxi/driving etc. Do you have any apps that would allow you to see location?

Valhalla17 · 17/02/2023 01:02

Is his phone off then? How would he come home, bus/taxi/train?

Parroteets · 17/02/2023 01:05

So did he actually leave with his friends? Did they see him get into a taxi or onto a tube or did they leave him in the pub?

threeplusmum · 17/02/2023 01:26

Has he made it home yet op

raindances · 17/02/2023 01:32

I do hope he is ok.

JimnJoyce · 17/02/2023 02:20

can you track his phone? Find My iPhone or similar?

IndiaDreamer · 17/02/2023 02:21

Hopefully he's home now and everyone is sleeping 💤

Feliciacat · 17/02/2023 02:35

I hope he is home now xx

TrickorTreacle · 17/02/2023 06:38

Strip club.

rainbowstardrops · 17/02/2023 06:54

Did he come home ok OP?

CrispsAndChoc · 17/02/2023 07:36

He did at around 2.30. He’s unsure what’s happened saying he drunk too much. This has never happened before so I’m hoping it’s a one off. Just glad he’s home safe to be honest.

I think you need to dig a little deeper once he has sobered up.

Unless he had a blackout (which is rare and confined to alcoholics generally) then he knows where he was. The fact he is being vague suggests some lying.

inthedoghouse2 · 17/02/2023 07:47

Assume he went to another bar and must have been buying drinks or get that drink. No one carries cash and all paid on card so should be able to see on the bank that drinks were being bought?

heldinadream · 17/02/2023 07:47

If he has 'lost' 3 hours he's either a) ill, which could be serious b) absolutely paralytically drunk, which is also serious or c) lying.

Cosyblankets · 17/02/2023 07:54

Was his drink spiked

I get black outs when I drink too much. I'm not an alcoholic but do get carried away sometimes. But agreed he may be lying or he may have literally got carried away with the booze. I generally black out when wine is involved, never beer or cider.

BusterGonad · 17/02/2023 07:59

Just to add. I no longer drink wine on a night out for this very reason.

SORRY also d) could have been spiked. It's possible and happens to men as well as women, but he'd maybe have some idea this had happened?

rainbowstardrops · 17/02/2023 08:05

Well I'm glad he's home safely but I'd be definitely asking him questions once he's up and about.

So he doesn’t know where he was for 4 hours? Come on OP, you’re cleverer than this.

IME ‘spiked’ is what people say when they’re embarrassed about how drunk they’ve got, when actually very few people are truly spiked

doozledog · 17/02/2023 08:08

I wouldn't believe him but thats just me

Yes it's true he could just try and use it as an excuse. In which case OP can call his bluff and insist he reports it to the police as it's a crime.
Either way, OP needs to dig around a bit.

You need to probe further. If he doesn't know what's happened to him he could have been mugged or something

Or

(D) he may have been spiked.
