In an apocalyptic scenario, would you survive long?

I wouldn't! At all. I cannot run fast or fight, I'd be a goner immediately the zombies or aliens or whatever descend. When I watch a movie of tv with this theme I can't ever keep up with the characters when they make a quick plan about who is going to do what where, and when they give each other silent hand signals eg going into a room they think is occupied I'm just like huh what do you mean?

If you reckon you'd survive a good while if the shit hits the fan, what are your best survival skills? Are you good at going with the flow, being flexible, thinking quickly on the go?

My plan is basically to get the kids to their Dad's house, hang on as long as I can and die fighting so my kids can escape. My XH is an arehole but he would fight to his last breath to defend our kids and between all my illnesses and needs for pharmacological products to stay alive I wouldn't last long. I get breathless and need a break in the middle of making a bed so yeah out running zombies is not going to happen. I think even the slow stupid one's like in Shaun of the dead could catch me.

They had root cellars where they kept potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips, beets, etc. Also did extensive canning when crops were in season and harvested.

I'm a schemer and fighter so like to think I could do OK but it's the lack of sleep, food and constantly running from 👽🧟‍♂️ that would get me.

Well I don't need much sleep. I'm not exactly Mrs Fit, but I am resourceful and have played enough video games to know the value of loot (aka taking everything that can be moved and may be useful), enough real life shooting and archery experience that I have a pretty good aim, enough botany knowledge to be able to forage and I am a decent enough cook to make to with what I can get.

So as long as the zombies are Shaun of the Dead slow I'll be fine 😅

I’d be useless on the frontline, I’m useless at foraging for food, wild camping or being anywhere where there isn’t a flushing toilet. I would overthink everything and then panic! However, if I was able to ensure DH and DD’s safety, and there was a 21st century version of Bletchley Park where I could work on breaking zombie codes, I might last longer!

I often think about this cos I wear glasses ! If I lose or break them I'm dead !

Can't wait for a zombie apocalypse. I practice my shuffle and groan regularly and really want to show them off.

I can knock up a decent cake and homemade biscuits so I'd deal with the zombies by feeding them with those. Kill them with carbs and sugar....

I used to fantasise about how I'd survive - what to grow for food, best place to hide and protect from attack - sadly with modern tech anyone could find me using heat seeking cameras, attack with drones, they already know who I am and where I live thants to SM, They could probably do a cyber attack on my bank and nick my money.

We're stuffed I think. Maybe we'll all become characters in some artificial zombie apocalyse made by some mad multi billionaire tech geek who wants the world to himself, hmmmmm.
