15 minute cities and the conspirators

15 minute cities being organised to mean that you don't have to rely on a car to get to everything and can easily walk to many places therefore only have to use the car for longer journeys

the conspiracy theories im seeing on social media are suggesting its a world wide control formula and we will be fined for moving from one district to another.

www.forbes.com/sites/carltonreid/2023/02/08/15-minute-city-conspiracy-theories-insane-says-15-minute-city-creator/?sh=121378916156

I'm wondering if the car manufactures are behind the conspiracy, as they would have a lot to lose if people live in places where they don't need a car and can just ave one family car or hire a car. Billions of sales could be lost if this takes off.

Some cities have gone car free - theculturetrip.com/europe/spain/articles/the-car-free-spanish-city/ and found after much objection, that it works well - especially for the elderly

Anyway there will either be exceptions for blue badge holders, or my family will be pretty much housebound.

Can you not do your own research?

Terrific, you didn't disappoint. What if I research the wrong thing, though, and it contradicts what you are asserting so confidently?

African smart cities...

I just did a search for 'africa smart cities' in Youtube and, hey presto! I found the video. India is also easy to research. Just change the word 'africa' for 'india'. Arabia is the same but I am guessing you already know about one Arabian smart city: 'The Line'? That will be a smart city.

DappledThings · 14/02/2023 21:22

I did wonder why Schwab didn't make a move on world domination the day of HM's funeral. Pretty much every leader in the world in the Abbey and all he had to do was bribe a few vergers to lock the doors. 😂
Maybe it clashed with his day on the rota to be in the underground adrenochrome lab

ethelredonagoodday · 14/02/2023 21:26

I work in this sector and have done for over 20 years. However I work for a very conservative (big and small 'C') authority so we are way behind the curve on any of this stuff.

People need to use their cars less if we are going to cut congestion and reduce emissions in towns and cities. There are various ways of doing this, including getting people onto buses, trains, bikes etc, but also by reducing the need to travel. If places are planned better, the need to travel can be lessened. None of this is rocket science, but people are VERY resistant to being asked not to use their cars, and to be fair, in much of our area the alternatives are woeful because we spend nearly ALL of our money on filling potholes and resurfacing... but our funding has fallen year on year, and we spend most of our time now writing bids for government funding competitions. The whole system is a mess and needs a fundamental overhaul.

I find it very frustrating.

Let's also be clear the concept of 15 minute cities and what Oxford council are doing are not the same thing.

However policies that try and reduce car use in areas of severe congestion and illegally high air pollution are not a conspiracy, they are tryign to tackle the very real damage excessive car use does. More often than not air pollution disproportionately affects the health and well being of the low income people you purport to be so concerned about.

The proposed bus gate between where I live and the nearest shopping area is on a road with no residents, there is not a problem with congestion, and which was specifically built to link the two parts of Oxford. There is also no regular bus service, although there is a totally separate, wide cycle path.

Restricting Marston Ferry Link Road with one of these gates does seem a particularly crass decision...

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats and I'm pretty sure very few local people who responded to the 'consultation' would have been in support, but obviously they are going ahead with it, so what is the point of a consultation.

These consultations are cleverly designed to always end up with the answers they seek.

The interface of the underlying facts and the overlying wilful misinterpretation is probably where we'll disagree.

Can you not do your own research? There are hundreds of smart cities in the pipeline or being built as we speak, all over the world. Even in India and Africa.

Here is a Chatham House presentation on the projected timeline for this big change to take place, although I believe it will happen a lot faster... www.chathamhouse.org/2021/04/journey-londons-future-shows-better-world

From here I linked through to this

got as far as 1) why is Piccy C surrounded by tall buildings, thereby presumably ending the heritage protected views (we saw those being torn up for Johnson's incredibly not-green Garden Bridge plan

  1. drones sharing our space and yet more bloody food markets.

as I'm leaving I won't look at any more but ...yikes.

The rewilding agenda has very little to do with nature and everything to do with controlling the global population, with the aim of reducing it significantly. It's part of the United Nations Agenda 2030 'Sustainable Development Goals'.

Almost all countries around the world have signed up to Agenda 2030 and the project is not hidden. It's very much out in the open and is being implemented on a local, regional, national and global level. Every decision the local councils make has to be made with Agenda 2030 in mind. No-one voted for Agenda 2030 but that is what we have whether we like it or not. As it's claimed to be for the benefit of nature and the environment and to ultimately save us from climate change, it's managed to bypass democracy and even King Charles hopes championing the 'Great Reset' will not be classed as meddling with politics.

The 'Great Reset' is a term coined by the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab being the Chairman. Klaus Schwab wants us to own nothing but promises that we will be happy. Look up 'You will own nothing and be happy'. Klaus also wants to put a microchip our brains. Just look up 'Klaus Schwab microchip brain'. Yuval Harari, also of the WEF, wants to 'hack the human brain'. Sadly, King Charles is a founding member of the World Economic Forum and quite pally with these evil-doers.

Back to the rewilding project. They claim it's to protect nature and increase biodiversity but it's really a ploy to remove people from the land and ban us from it. At the same time, they want to erase all signs of human occupation and land management. We are to be incrementally removed from rural areas and herded into cities, which will gradually be morphed into smart cities. Rural villages and towns will see their services removed: banks, cashpoints, fuel stations, doctors, buses, etc., and driving will become for the very wealthy only.

To help them convert land once used by people into protected wilderness, they will reintroduce predators, such as beers, lynx, wolves, etc. They will also claim rare plant/insect/bird species have returned and, therefore, the land cannot be plowed, grazed on, walked on, etc. Farmers who make the foolhardy decision to take government subsidies to rewild their land will find it impossible to revert back to farming. The handouts are only temporary and not a long-term income, so these farmers will find themselves the owners of useless scrubland. My guess is they will be made bankrupt and the state will take the land.

To speed things up, billionaires are buying up vast swathes of land all over the world. Bill Gates is now the largest farm land owner in the US. His plan? Rewilding. Anders Polvson, the Danish Billionaire of ASOS, is now the largest landowner in Scotland. His plan? Rewilding and reintroducing predators. His other plan is to open luxury retreats for the mega wealthy. We will be banned from the countryside but they will not. This is what it's about: removing poor people from the world, herding us into open prisons and allowing the elites to enjoy their global playground without us. Prince Philip said he wanted to return from death as a virus so he could solve the problem of overpopulation. They aren't just concerned about overpopulation in poor countries but in all countries and if you're not a billionaire or well connected to the 1% of the 1% then you are 'poor'.

Still believe in climate change, global warming, global cooling or climate breakdown or whatever they call it nowadays?

This is not hidden. Anyone can watch them actually say this.

It's alread happening in the Netherlands, Canada and I believe New Zealand. Policies are being put in place that will directly result in the bankruptcy of farmers

The interface of the underlying facts and the overlying wilful misinterpretation is probably where we'll disagree.

Why do you trust the global elite so much when they state openly they wish to see you own nothing and also to have your mind hacked and connected to the 'Internet of Things'? The elites have always, throughout history, been evil. The richer and more powerful they are, the worse they get, the more detached from the masses they become and the more determined they are to keep the masses at bay (or worse!) and...retain their positions. Now, with the advent of AI and automation, they don't need us as much and they can control us a lot better. They have hatched this plan with pure evil in mind. It's not for you and it's not for the environment. It's for them and them only.

Would you care to elaborate what you believe to be fact vs interpretation?

I'm not sure about microchips, but there was a video where they were very openly talking about how the intend to manage to 'tune in' to your brain while you are at work (or before you go in) and monitor whether you were anxious, distracted, having 'negative' thoughts etc

There are extremely tall buildings because the future cities will house millions of people in a small area, hence the need to build up rather than out. We are to have a small footprint...as though in an open prison. Heritage will not be important in the future. The name of the presentation is 'Futurescape'. They don't like the past and they won't want us to have any physical reminders of the past, lest people long for it. The past is marked by examples of human ingenuity, creativity, etc. They hate humanity...they love transhumanism, AI, etc. Food markets might, in fact, be in the form of food handouts (Soylent Green).

thehorsehasnowbolted....you said....'It's already happening in the Netherlands, Canada and I believe New Zealand. Policies are being put in place that will directly result in the bankruptcy of farmers'

Yes, I know. It's terrible! Unfortunately, very few people want to know about it. It's a land grab, soon to be on a global scale. They don't want us to own land or grow crops/farm/graze sheep on land. We will be fed whatever they make for us in urban farms and synthetic meat labs. 1984...Big Brother...Soylent Green...

thehorsehasnowbolted · 14/02/2023 22:59

HandyLady even if they don't manage to put it off (as I would assume that most sane people will push back), it's quite disturbing that somebody could have though out such a plan, that many are happy to go along with it and, lastly, that they are so open about it, as if others were dumb

What I don't get is, why do they even want to keep people alive in these buildings, isn't it better for them to just get rid of us all (or most of us)? Why do they need billions?

Oh, and you forgot to mention the cashless society issue. Closely linked to this plan, but people don't want to know

EsmeSusanOgg · 14/02/2023 22:59

ExistenceOptional · 14/02/2023 19:59

@EsmeSusanOgg Whether you can is beside the point. 4 miles an hour is a fair pace and not the speed most people walk around cities. You have to be realistic when making these kind of plans and look at the speed people actually walk in cities rather than the speed you think they should walk. I have read research on this and the average walking speed in cities is less than 3 miles an hour and it says elderly people walked less than 1 mile and hour on average. So your 3 miles is a 50 minute walk for elderly people, or a 100 minute round trip.

I think you have missed the whole first part of my statement, that I had muddled KMs with miles. Even at a slow pace walking a km in 15 minutes isn't a difficult challenge.

thehorsehasnowbolted · 14/02/2023 22:59

Devoutspoken · 14/02/2023 22:46

Handylady, what if you're not part of the evil elite and yet benefit from said evil elites plans?

Benefiting from the plans of evil elites is an oxymoron.

It's this wishful thinking that the elites actually care about us that mystifies me the most. Elites have never cared about people at any time in history. Why would they start caring about people now when automation means they don't need us anymore and AI means they can subjugate us even more powerfully? Now is the time when they can be the more evil than in their wildest dreams.

Devoutspoken · 14/02/2023 23:03

I think you mean it doesn't benefit you, it benefits many
