I mean do all men wear socks with massive holes in?

Mines a truck driver and wears heavy steel to cap boots and wears a pair of sports socks over thinner socks and quite frankly it winds me right up that he doesn't realise how bad they are! 🤣

His socks so leave him to it.

Yes I would wash them and put them in the textile recycling thing.

Wash and put them in clothes recycling bank if you have one nearby.

I regularly do this to my DH’s clothes because it annoys me - but I do tell him I’m planning to, I don’t do it on the sly.

If holey socks are good enough for the King yabu to bin them.

Jeez they're socks not his records, it was meant to be light-hearted, a bit of a laugh, he won't give two fucks if I throw them away, he likely laugh at the state of them as he puts them on in the dark at 5am so not to wake baby in crib.

Depends on your relationship, would he be happy to just have them removed & replaced or would he be pissed off?

most men that I know would just be happy to have them replaced, on the other hand, touch my socks and you'd be sorry!!!

🤣🤣🤣 yep I throw my DH holed socks out, he wears safety boots too and often wears 2 pairs at once so if one has a bit crater in it he really won't notice in the dark. Does my box in, also when his socks go missing 🤔 I don't get that unless the dogs eat them haha 😅

I'd do it, but tell him he needs to pick up new ones so he doesn't unexpectedly run out!

I trained my toddler to remove my husband's socks of they have holes in and put them in the bin. It is now a hilarious game.

Even the King has holes in his socks. 😂

I'd make sock puppets out of them - they've already got mouths.

He's shit loads of new ones under the bed from Xmas presents from last year and previous years

I do this as part of the washing. I used to ask him but he always said yeah so now I do it with all of ours. Why wouldn't u bin them. Sometimes I find a hole in his t shirts though and I don't bin them

I'm with you Op. My DP doesn't throw any dead clothes away after I ask him over and over to think about whether it's time to let them go. Eventually I have to smuggle them into the bin when he's not around and hope he doesn't find them and fish them back out. 🤣

It was meant to be a bit of a light-hearted fun for people on here but the "holier than thou brigade" ( pardon the pun) piled right on.

I'm a bit lonely at the moment, thought it would cheer me up having a laugh but I was well wrong.

I throw my husband's socks and boxer shorts away when I see they are worn out (when I'm hanging the laundry), but he doesn't mind and he knows I do it. I don't throw away his t-shirts, I always check beforehand if there are some emotional strings attached, like: this is the hole our cat made etc. 😂

Btw. it ALWAYS makes me wonder- don't they feel a thing? You can so tell you have hole in your sock, when you step on the floor, it just feels different. My husband can wear a sock with hole on his heel and only realises when I tell him. But he's the type that doesn't notice he's wearing jacket/gilet inside out 😂Always on the other planet, thoughts going on 100mph.
