Just as the title says really.

I mean do all men wear socks with massive holes in?

Mines a truck driver and wears heavy steel to cap boots and wears a pair of sports socks over thinner socks and quite frankly it winds me right up that he doesn't realise how bad they are! 🤣

I throw away my DPs socks OP when they get like that if I spot them in the washing! Luckily he’s been buying the same black socks for the 15 years I’ve known him so they all still match!

it's a bit of a game here... if you spot a sock with a massive hole in you hook your finger in and rip it wide open! Then they go in the bin/fabric recycling/shoe polishing box

My DP had 4 toes poking through a hole the other day! Not so much a sock as a fabric tube. Sometimes you just have to have a "sock massacre" and press new socks into service.

I always throw DH's socks away when I'm sorting the washing and see they've got a hole in (way before the stage of your DP's ones!) Men often need abit of a push with stuff like this! They are clearly ready for the bin.As long as he has the heads up so he can buy some more and isn't short of pairs, I don't see the problem.

Me and most of the other PPs on the thread then.

Luckily for me my DP doesn't mind. He just can't let them go himself.

Yep, I'd open a new pack of socks, then start binning the holey ones.
I also bin holey kids socks.
Mine don't make it into the washing basket when they have holes in!

As a steadily aging person, I see it as a very good quality in a man that he does not discard what is old and crumpled for the new and perfect 😁
