I run a Facebook dog training group.

One of the members who I know personally in real life earlier posted that she wouldn’t be coming training tomorrow as her dog is close to “blobbing”.

I removed it as I thought it was crude, she messaged me and said she thought I was being over dramatic to remove it.

I’d remove it too. It’s a horrible term.

It's not a swear word, it doesn't attack anybody else, I think it sounds a bit like "tee hee menstrual cycle" and childish but I wouldn't delete it.

AlwaysLatte · 10/02/2023 11:30

I’m assuming it means period as some people say their on the blob when their on.
I've not heard 'on the blob' either - I'm guessing it's regional. You learn something new every day!

OP are you the swimming pool pearly clutcher??

follyfoot37 · 10/02/2023 11:40

Dear god. Next she'll be saying the dog is ON her period, which is the most ridiculous phrase.

I think the admin position has gone to your head.

Her choice of language might not be the same as yours, but do you really need to exercise such control over an adult woman's post?

Dogs have periods, deal with it
