Could I be blocked by my friend

Hi last messaged my friend Tuesday on WhatsApp and it’s been on 1 tick since then (last seen is showing for that day) I messaged her today on iMessage and it’s saying that it’s been sent as a text message (green bubble)
No issues between us as far as I know so could I be blocked or is this just a phone issue on her side (she has iPhone)

If she's blocked you on Whatsapp you won't see her profile picture if she has one.

She doesn’t have a profile pic just has her last seen showing & iMessage is showing as green but saying sent as text message

If you can see when she was last online on Whatsapp, then I'm pretty sure you aren't blocked. I don't know anything about iMessage.

iMessage can just be a signal issue

is she on social media, can you just call her?

Green iMessage just usually means the person's phone is in an area with poor connection so sending it as a text message over the phone network is more reliable than sending it as an iMessage via wifi or 4/5G. I think.

Taken together with delivered-but-not-seen WhatsApp it sounds like your friend's phone is somewhere with poor connectivity. Is she away?

I am not attached to my phone 24/7 either however I last messaged her last Tuesday and since then she’s not replied back which is very unlike her as normally she gets back same day

She recently got a new phone so doubt her phone is broken
We are meant to be meeting up this Sunday

One tick on WhatsApp means message is not delivered and green iMessage means the phone isn’t connected to wifi or a data service.

It sounds as though her phone is offline/off completely rather than you have been blocked.

Sometimes it’s a nightmare to get hold of my sister as her village has signal issues in certain spots.

Her last seen was Tuesday

In that case she hasn't been on her phone. She's definitely not blocked you

when you called her, did you have the option to leave voicemail or was it just an automated message? I didn’t think blocked contacts were allowed to leave voice messages - but I haven’t tested that.

on WhatsApp, the single tick is meant to be ambiguous so you can’t tell if someone’s blocked you or not.

green messages aren’t necessarily indicative of being blocked on iMessage.

Can you get in touch with someone who knows her? Similar happened to a friend a week or so ago - turns out she was in hospital.
