All children are impacted significantly by the state of the system right now. Every single child is being failed.

Of course not as there’s no substitute for being taught by a teacher….

And yet there are plenty of kids in Y11 who don’t have a qualified teacher, even when not a strike day.

If your niece has had consistent teaching for Y11 from teachers who actually know their stuff, then reassure her that she is already way luckier than many others who will be competing with her for GCSE grades. She has won the lottery, and a few days of strikes won’t damage that enormous advantage.

@GooseberryCinnamonYogurt and when all teachers do leave for a 'proper job', what happens to schools and children?

They'll realise that they never had it so good

Many have left the profession so you’re getting your wish. Hopefully your kids are grown up so they won’t need anyone to teach them anymore, pity those that do. If you do have school age children, be careful what you wish for an educate yourself on the issues in education.

No trolling I just know from years of experience that holding anyone to ransom doesn't result in getting what you want. Read back into history.

You've failed to respond to the question. 'they will realise they never had it so good', but I asked about the children and the schools. In all honesty, what do you think will happen if we continue along the current trajectory- that is, we can't recruit and lots of teachers leave.
