To dislike and resent my dh because of his snoring?

He refuses to do anything about it. He often twitches in his sleep as well.

I've put up with it for years. I miss going to bed in peace so much. I wear earplugs but they don't help with the vibration and the twitching. I've started being resentful and grumpy during the day. I am currently in dds room - she's away at uni but I feel uncomfortable being in there. He's annoyingly wounded in the morning which makes me want to shout at him. It's honestly ruining our marriage.

@atoxk That is not a reasonable comparison. Some men choose to abuse partners. No one chooses to snore just to abuse their partner depriving them of sleep, they don't even know they snore

You’re right it’s not a comparable scenario, but her DH knows he snores, he knows he keeps her awake all night, yet chooses not to do anything about it, won’t even visit his GP! Add that to the fact that when the OP is so desperate for sleep she goes into another room, he sulks the next day. To me that’s borderline abusive! No caring or considerate person would deliberately keep someone awake and then punish them for removing themselves from the situation.

Yer I get that. But what will a doctor do about it. Apart from being told to lose weight and stop drinking I didn't think there was much of a cure

This can also cause snoring. My DH suffered and the regular snoring stopped after treatment.

Of course that means being checked out 🤷🏼‍♀️ So selfish not to do anything to try and fix the issue as well as being neglectful of their own health.

There’s lots of things a gp can suggest and provide for snoring, lose weight os the first one, along with cutting out alcohol, but there’s also steroid sprays and various operations. My dh has his uvula removed to stop his snoring.
