Abba's 'Slipping through my fingers' and 'She used to be mine' by Sara Bareilles get me every time, for very different reasons.

Some of the songs on this list are really lovely..I'll look up the ones I don't know.

A Thousand Years - Christina Perri, played at our wedding

Mr Brightside - The Killers played 9 months later at DH's funeral (because he always sang it loudly with completely the wrong words).

More recently Pointless - Lewis Capaldi because, right now, everything does feel pointless without him.

Slipping Through My Fingers by ABBA. Just can't listen to it because it makes me want my 3DC back in nappies and here with me, not in different cities.

One of the songs played at my sons funeral was Goodbye by Kenny Rogers

I took some lines from it and put them on my sons headstone

There's other songs that make me cry too, but that one makes me cry the most

Albatross by Fleetwood mac (not sad in itself but was played at the funeral of someone I loved),
Devil doesn't bargain by Alec Benjamin - I was in a toxic relationship for years and this song really hits home sometimes.

Depends on my mood for some songs, but the one that gets me every single time wherever I am if I'm alone or in company, is love of my life by Queen. My gran chose it for my grandad's funeral, I didn't know beforehand and it floored me. She also read a letter she'd written to him. One of the strongest bravest women I know and a relationship that was a true true love to aspire to.

Some of these post have actually got me shedding a tear.
