Gazza crying.

Jotters · 20/01/2023 01:51

Looking at my flat stomach in low rise jeans and a cropped bandeau top, belly chain and belly button piercing and thinking I looked amazing.

Judgyjudgy · 20/01/2023 02:01

My flat stomach 🤣
I don't know if I getting old, but it felt like a much simpler time. In a weird way, as good as they are cellphones have been the worst invention (so I miss the freedom of not having a cellphone and the internet I guess)

vera99 · 20/01/2023 02:42

Not being nostalgic about anything just seemingly endless new horizons ahead..

Mercurial123 · 20/01/2023 03:33

I loved the 90's I had just graduated and was living off Portobello Road in London. We'd go clubbing in Manchester, London and Birmingham every weekend. The music was amazing. As mentioned there were no mobile phones or social media.

Johnisafckface · 20/01/2023 06:36

My boyfriend from back then, every man I’ve dated since then has been shit 😂
My youth
Being an adult but not having adult responsibilities (in college)

IHeartGeneHunt · 20/01/2023 06:54

The music
"Spectacular" makeup
Woolworths
Body Shop being cheap enough to spend my weekend job wages in
Triple vodka redbull for £1.99 in my local
Clothes were brighter and fitted better
Full sugar everything

WGACA · 20/01/2023 07:00

Follow knee deep in the 90s on Instagram / it’s my favourite account!

RonObvious · 20/01/2023 07:00

Live music. Before the introduction of the music licensing laws meant few pubs could afford to have bands. We used to see different bands every week, generally for free.

Eminybob · 20/01/2023 07:02

Platform trainers
Silver eyeliner
Miss selfridge
The music (all of it)
Clubbing
Going on a night out with my £6 pocket money and getting wasted.
Snogging
Natural eyebrows
The body shop
Wonderbras
School crushes
Smoking
Weed
Summers on the beach
Camping in fields
My youth
My figure
Hollyoaks when it was good
TFI Friday
Watching Friends for the first time

Everything. I bloody loved the 90's

Doves

All these posts about doves and Mitsubishi's. I'd totally forgotten that there were brands lol

Bluepanda86 · 20/01/2023 07:15

I was a child then but definitely -

  • 1p sweets - they don't exist anymore!
  • Woolworth trips where you could get pick and mix and 5 sweet packs for 99p/ £1. They would cost each about 60/70p each at least today!
  • Cheesy 90s pop - i put it on every so often and entertain my DD1 who is 5 and went through a phrase of loving the Eiffel 55 song!
  • The original impulse fragrances as they are not the same now
  • Mizz magazine - where you got a voucher for an item at superdrug in pretty much every edition for body or hair glitter
  • My grandad 😔
  • The original crystal maze show
  • Children's tv shows like Blue Peter and Byker Grove
  • Rainbows/Brownies and Guides
electricmoccasins · 20/01/2023 07:20

Just everything. 1994 - 1996 was ‘peak-nineties’.

Hope and optimism

littleburn · 20/01/2023 07:27

Grunge, Diamond and Pearls era Prince, Jeff Buckley. Never was a Brit pop fan. Early 90s were my peak teenage years.

pastypirate · 20/01/2023 07:30

Everything. My teens were all in the 90's and looking back it was wonderful.

No constant fomo as you didn't have a clue where other people were most of the time. Cost of living was fine.

I think I fully grieve that time now.

pastypirate · 20/01/2023 07:32

Brit pop gigs. Raves. Tfi Friday and top of the pops. Caring what was at number one. Sat night tv schedules. No phones everywhere and brands weren't that pervasive except Levi's and converse.

pastypirate · 20/01/2023 07:34

vera99 · 20/01/2023 02:42
